The home depots around here started doing that a couple years ago. I guess it's an attempt to market the trees to those who don't celebrate christmas as well?

I'm getting my Christmas tree on Friday and it sure as hell won't be from a place with a sign like that.

Don't care what it is. Learn the language of the land you live in.

I drive through certain cities here in Orange County and cannot read most of the signs, there in a foreign language, **** as I see it. Lean the language or go post your sign somewhere else. This country is getting way to PC and it's ****'en everything up.

This will be my last post on the topic or I'll end up getting the thread locked.

I am originally from South Dakota and moved to Texas about 5 years ago. What the hell is going on in this world - what the hell is wrong with learning to speak fluent English? My bank is a polling place - we had ballots in 5 languages a few weeks back!!! WTF! My wife is a school teacher - OMG - we tax payers are getting ripped off! They spend more time and money catering to those that don't bother to teach their own children English than they do to my child that is GT. I don't get it. Back to the Christmas and God subject - If they don't believe in God or they are not Christian, they need to respect my beliefs. Otherwise, I say FUCM. I can see where "someday" there is going to be a huge backlash against all this ****.

Honestly, I do believe that Kwanzaa has a tree as a holiday symbol also. I could be mistaken. However, if it does, that would be a good reason that the signs say "Holiday" and not "Christmas" of "Xmas". I'll bet that the last thing Target and Lowes want is the "Reverend" Jesse Jackson causing a stir over the trees being labelled as Christmas and not a generic term.

Then again, I could be wrong and that would make my point moot.

I think the only reason Christmas is no longer used is the fact Christ is in the name. Go figure...

And I second, third, fourth the whole spanish v. english. Learn the spoken language of the country you live in.

If I move to Mexico, I'll learn Spanish - but not until then.

All this stuff is in the bible people, it's only going to get worse for the people that believe in christ. No one wants to believe there is a god anymore. Mankind thinks they are god these days. They think they can control everything that happens, But the lord has to remind mankind who's in charge, just look at all the bad weather we have had this year.

I'm not really into it either way but this happy holidays stuff pisses me off. When people say something like that I ask them if they mean merry christmas and if so why didn't they say so. I'm going to sign off before I really get into it... It is not my job to keep a minority happy by changing my ways. When is the last time you went to a foreign country and everyone changed their ways so you woudn't be offended. If you are unhappy with the freakin country then go the **** home.

hmm...i like it. Maybe we should put this on all our borders under "Do you know English? If yes, proceed. If no, see below"

But then we'd have to put it in 5 different languages.

Spanish isn't soooo bad. Add in the Middle Easterners and then we have some crazy stuff going on.

Here in illinois there are plenty of them. I worked with quite a few and they are not so bad.

I dunno I feel the same as many of you do yet I feel it is good we can make some things diverse, however making the sign not say christmas is **** **** and they should blow a fat ****.

It is an example of the majority being silenced while the minority becomes exagerated. Most americans do Christmas and if you live here you need to have tolerance, not be offended. I'm actually offended that people are offended. Worse yet, I'm offended that many are afraid of offending other cultures by practicing what they believe in.
