It never pay`s to play Captain-Save-a-Hoe..

I was at a Red Light in Santa Cruz and saw this dude sreamin at his "girlfriend"...
all of a sudden he hit`s her so hard in the mug , that her hair actually flew up from the impact...

    I lost it..
Jumped out , ran up and started pumelling this guy..
as I was poundin the **** out of this losers face, and this broad jumps on my back and starts hittin me..!!!!
Screamin "leave him alone a$$hole, yer killing him"..

    AS THE COPS ROLL UP...

They drew down on me, and took my to jail and towed my truck..

This broad said I jumped him, and when asked what happened to her face. I thought she was going to say I did it...but she said her boyfriend "accidentally" did it..

180 days in jail and probation..FOR PLAYIN CAPTAIN SAVE A HOE...

would I do it again ?

    HELL YES..!!

never let a beardog see ya hurt or abuse a woman or child..
Some women are just stupid for putting up with it, and some may actually deserve it...but it aint right for any man to punch a woman...

The one thing I learned is, when ya see thier eyes roll back in thier head it`s time to stop, and quickly get back in yer truck and drive away....fast..!!

macloed, you must remember that many folk are smaller or just not fighters. it would do a man no good to intervene and then end up getting his **** whooped! if one is to intervene, one must be confident in their supremecy over the chosen candidate. i know better than to get involved in verbal abuse. a tiny smack or push from a man to a woman gets me ready to make a move. if ever i see a punch thrown, that's it! i'll eff dude up with the quickness. if he's bigger, he'd better be angrier as well as i'll pick up the nearest boulder or glass bottle. but hopefully i never get killed trying to help a woman. knowing that i may very well expire due to stepping in, well, i guess it wouldn't matter. punch thrown and bizill has no time to think, only pounce. but to a certain limit, i choose to stay away or at least attempt to monitor the event to see what unfolds. nothing more, i go about my business. many legitimate reasons were given here why "not" to get involved. but it may all come down to the heat of the moment. goodnight, all.

BIzill I don't think size or your fighting skills have anything to do with it. It's about intelligence and using sound judgement. I'm a 2nd degree brown belt and take kickboxing lessons. That still doesn't make me look for any excuse to go beat the hell out of a stranger in a public forum because I may not like how he's treating his girlfriend. Where do you draw the line? You can't. My friends tease me 'oh you take karate and kb i bet you can kick **** if you want to'. It has nothing to do with that and if that's the mentality someone carries around with them on a day to day basis, then they should go seek a therapist. Life is not a Clint Eastwood movie. You may think you're helping in those situations, but all you're doing is making it worse for the wife/girlfriend in the longrun and whether you want to admit it or not- simply feeding your own ego needlessly.

With children/ sr. citizens as the exception, I won't get physically involved between two complete strangers because it's none of my business- especially if it puts either me or my girl (if she's with me) in unnecessary harms way.

Some may call that being a ****. I call that being a man who knows how to use his brain. We have local law enforcement, phones and cameras for a reason. Use them.

never misjudge me. it probably would be more prudent to keep out of others' business. i'm just saying that if a man 'punches' a female in front of me, i'm gonna snap. the outcome would just have to unfold as it may. if chick is dumb enough to stay with dude, and she gets beat up later because of it, then perhaps she was indeed asking for it. if it came down to him punching her, they've already gone past the point of no return. granted, some stay in relationships that are physically violent, i'm just saying, don't punch a woman in front of me. if their fetish is to brutally assault one another, keep it in the bedroom or get a hotel. in plain sight of general public, or me, then you've managed to drag me into it. btw, i trained in kick boxing as well. stamina gained from it gives me a superior feeling. but never once did i ever feel that having trained in it makes me any tougher than your ave joe. karate means absolutely dick to me. sheer power and rage can win most any battle. some will beg to differ, but i feel i sit on both sides of that matter. in the end, i feel my rage will win a battle for me over any training i've ever done.

Well, not to take sides or anything.. but sometimes the reaction time of the police is quite a while.. in that time the dude could do some serious damage to his wife/gf.

I'm not blaming the police.. they have their hands full with other important things too.

I'm sure i would have stepped in and said something to the man... yeah it's a risk you have to take some times.. if we all did nothing just think what could happen to people like this. It's scary really.

Guess it's already been mentioned, and this is kinda along the lines of what brettw did.. serious things can happen once you committ to this type situation..

Ive had a few situations where it was just traffic and people got out their cars, once you open your mouth and then a 6' 5 monster steps out of a car/truck your committed..

back to this scenario, I wouldn't want to let a woman get beat.. But i wouldn't want to be dead after he pulls a gun or knife on me. I have a wife and 2 kids who would much rather me call the cops and watch to make sure things didn't get out of hand..

I can't stand to see tough guys acting stupid with women/kids however in this day and age you have to be careful. Is it worth "that chance" they are packing, NOPE sorry my family means to much to me..

I have to say that it is best to call the police. I have seen many a Good Samaritan step in to the rescue and guess who's side she takes when the police arrive?..... Not the good guy's ,sadly. I have busted down doors and stopped beatings in progess only to have the victim attack me for 'saving' them. Take pics if you can and call the police. It is sad but unfortunately true.

So you step in and take care of the situation. What do you think the odds are that both people will swear you caused the problem? That is always going to be a problem with couples. I think I would be more active if I saw a crime involving people who don't know each other.

This is a ridiculous comment.....I find it hard to believe that the reason someone would get involved is because they want to stroke their ego. The LAST thing on my mind a few weeks ago with the scenario I brought up was my ego, and while in the grand scheme of things I could have been physically hurt, I'd feel guilty for just standing by while a guy is berating or beating his significant other.

The point that some of y'all make with families is a valid one, but I'd hope that there is a bit more compassion for those (whether you think they deserve it or not) that might be too weak to help themselves. A cell phone call is at least an effort to get the problem addressed, but I think Mac's initial point is don't ignore it and do NOTHING.

But to mimmick such previous comments in a mocking commenting commental comment would make it seem as if one Audiobliss was indeed commenting to the comment he said he would not comment to. But indeed commented in a commenting fashion that was similar.

Therefore his non-comment comment was indeed a comment to Doro's comment about not commenting to his comment which in theory would make it a comment.

Um, I'm a little late to this party unfortunatly and I wouldn't prolong the insanity if I didn't have something worthwhile to say.

If you want to see the ugly under-belly of domestic abuse, run on an ambulance squad. I have mopped women up of the floor a few times and each time, they went back to Captain Slap Happy for another round of "Kick You Face In". it doesn't matter what you say or do and even if the guy is pounding the tar outta the girl, if you get involved, you have to PROVE that you were coming to her defense. At that point, it's his word and hers against yours and those odds suck in your favor.

Any cop will tell you, don't play the hero. Don't even say anything to the couple. Call the police, right then and there, give teh operator all the info and file a complaint. That's what you can and should do. There is a reason we have cops. They are trained to deal with this stuff, even if a weapon is pulled. So don't be dumb and keep yourself safe.

drives you up a wall too eh? I've acknowleged the phenomenon, but give up on trying to put reason to it

I've actually said to one woman "why do you keep calling us? I'll just leave some gauze, cling, and Ice packs at your house free of charge."

it was an almost monthly affair, and at 3 in the f%ckin morning too, like the guy just couldnt bring himself to beat her **** while I was awake.
