Another, make that the biggest, difference between you and everyone else here that I'm aware of is that no one but YOU has come on here whining about not getting a discount. The simple fact that you have failed to grasp the concept that you're not always going to get a discount on big ticket items tells me that you have a lot of growing up to do.

I think that you characterization of me "whining" is completely off base.

Some people have heard it as I intended it: asking why dealers are bound by contract not to discount Polk item?

Some other people have hear it as: whining.

And all I wanted was the *opportunity* to get a *negotiate* a discount with an authorized dealer. Who -- by the way--- negotiated in a way allowed by Polk by telling me that price adjustments can be made if the speakers can be found at a cheaper price --and they are having a sale in a few weeks.

I am certain this dealer would have offered me the same discount on the spot if able. How am I certain? Because he told me he would have. That's how. And I believe him.

You've called me names. You judged my character. You've been very rude.

You are a bad representative of this message board.

Are you in fact a Polk employee? If you are I would like to speak to your management and ask if your statements represent the company's official policy. If they do then I WILL return my speakers.

no he isn't. if he were, why would you return your speaks because of one disgruntled employee? sorry f1nut, not that you are disgruntled or anything.

edit: sorry, didn't read the part about the "company's policy".

More whining. The fact is I call 'em like it is, I don't sugar coat, I'm an astute judge of character and I have a mahagney pipe.
You are a bad representative of this message board.

You need to do your homework.

Are you in fact a Polk employee?

    No. Again, do your homework.

Yes, we know. You didn't and you're not happy. Life is tough at times, buck it up and quit whining.

Is there an actual way to lock this thread?

    Thought for the thread:
The human colon can act as a baffle and some of the baffling statements in this thread lead me to believe that human colons have made them.

Thanks for the support, you supporters. Boo to the aggressors. And know this: if I take it I HAVE TO dish it back out.

As much as I hate to dredge this thread up from the depths, this gave me a HUGE chuckle. From the site page for the SDA Surroundbar:

"Prices reflect manufacturer's US and Canadian suggested retail prices. Prices outside the United States and Canada will vary due to currencies, exchange rates, import tariffs and taxes, value added taxes and shipping and handling costs. Please contact your local distributor (see the listing on this Web Site) for accurate local prices. Retailers are free to establish their own selling prices." :p
