Are the LSI/FX's worth the extra money over the LSI7 for side surrounds?

Thanks.

Not really but it depends on your room.

If you sit close to the side walls then go with the Lsi/fx , if you have some room then I like the way direct rears sound. The Lsi7's all 4 in the rear is killer.

Hell having another pair of Lsi7's as mains is killer 2 all hung on the wall.

I think the 7's sound improved dramatically when I mounted them with brackets to the wall rather than using the keyhole slot. (bass less boomy) I have 4 LSi7's and an LSiC right now and it sounds very very good.
