    Hey Mike,

Since you popped on this one, not one 235 has gone for less than $260. I've been stubborn, tried on several, but back out when tax and shipping bring it over $300. I'm a cheap ****.

Let me know how this sounds cause I may just turn around and pickup a Denon 3801 for $350 I saw on Craiglist if I don't get lucky soon. :D

    Combo rig:

Onkyo NR1007 pre-pro, Carver TFM 45(fronts), Carver TFM 35 (surrounds)
    SDA 1C, CS400i, SDA 2B
    PB13Ultra RO
    BW Silvers
    Oppo BDP-83SE

    Ron,

So far so good..The 235 has the typical HK "warm" sound to it. This thing weighs 33lbs. :D

There are a lot more set up options on the 235 than were on my old 225 and I am still learning the new things. Overall, it sounds really nice.

Oh yeah, I've been keeping an eye on harmanaudio for ya ;)

I'm watching everything that comes out, ready to strike like a snake :D Actually have the winning bid on a Denon 3802 that ends about 5.00AM. Hopefully, everyone will be asleep at feeding frenzy time. I know I will be...

Yeah Mike. "X" is a 7 speaker option. Actually after expermenting last night with my 235, I changed my mind (at least for analog sources)

    LOGIC 7 IS THE ****!
(you might have to turn up the sub a few db. though, and you can only use it with analog sources, but omg what a difference!)

so i take L7 music and L7 cinema are for the obvious- and L7 Enhance (which I've never used btw) is for Tv viewing, sports and stuff?

From what I heard so far, L7 Cinema tends to localize the dialogue to the center channel, L7 music tends to spread the dialogue out more and L7 enhance seems to be a combo of the two.

aaharvel, whatever sounds best to the ear. I used to use L7 Ehanced for music on occasion, etc. etc.

Mike, glad everything worked out for ya. :) The 225 is plugging along just nicely by the way.

    Greg,

Nice to hear....I was actually thinking about the 225. It is a damn fine receiver.. :D Before the HK I had some other brands that didn't even come close to the sound of HK. I consider the 225 my first "real" receiver.
