Classical music has awesome bass. And not just that one note wonder stuff, I'm talking about deep, thunderous, articulate bass. Love that stuff.

My favorite bass songs are from Korn, Yall Want a Single, Children Of The Korn, Dead Bodies Everywhere
    - Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

Attaboy Nick! I was just going to mention Floyd! My favorites are from Disc 2 of The Wall. "Hey You" and especially the end of "Waiting for the Worms".

The Police 'Syncronicity' also has some great bass lines.

    F**K rap!

i wouldnt say im anti rap, but im more into rock than i like rap. some songs i can tolerate, but i have yet to go and buy a rap cd.

    also

robert plants shine it all around has got some great bass parts.

the closest my rap taste comes to is rage against the machine. i like them alot.

hmmm i havent listened to the wall in awhile. i bought new song studio type headphones today, and they sound great. ive got it at about a 3rd of the volume, and it was like using my older worn out headphones at 3/4 the volume.

the lyrics from 'happy?' are pretty wicked, good times right there

i'm listening to a bach organ CD right now that has some serious bass... i'm talking 16 Hz bass, and loud as hell, too... the higher pipes sound quiet because the lowest pipes are so loud, they'd clip in the mix if it were any louder... it all sounds balanced, though, which is cool, and it's got dynamic range better than the vast majority of music out there...

for dynamic range and realism, blose sent a test CD with their newest wave radio (my mom got one, it's actually not bad, albeit way too expensive), and that CD's really cool...

Try out a RAP group called Nemesis. They have a track called Munchies For Your Bass. Also, there is a group called Bass Patrol. The stuff on these cds would kill your subs. As someone mentioned earlier, D.J. Magic Mike. When I was heavy into car systems, these were my favirite boom cds. They will definetly make your rearview mirror do a 360. :D

A lot of the bass groups come from Florida or Texas.

    That first Nemesis record slams!

Also, Success N Effect's first album has killer bass too. I blew a 15" Fosgate to a song called "Non-stop".
