Does a state count? 'Cause "Garden State" was based in northern, NJ and NJ is pretty intergral to the story.

We may not have a film based on our location. But we are frequently mentioned in movies and TV as that train stop north of New York City. Not to mention the great lines from the French Connection about "Picking your feet in Poughkeepsie".

Major League-Cleveland, OH....also parts in Tuscan, AZ

It was filmed mainly in Milwaukee and the old County Staduim, actually. I was there. :) Also in a few bars and restraunts and a mansion on Lake Drive.

Yes, yes...you are right, all the baseball scenes were done in Milwaukee. But surely the beginning was sequence was filmed in Cleveland and the city that was 'portrayed' was Cleveland.

Did you see anyone from the film?

I was in the stadium with my mom. I don't remember much...I was like 9 or so. Think it was 89?

I did meet Bernie Mac for Mr. 3000 because his trailor was a block from my condo right next to Miller Park. That was pretty cool. Movie wasn't all that bad either!

Blue Brothers had a scene shot here on the Hone Bridge in Milwaukee as well. :D

I think alot of people are missing the point here. Micah is looking for films where the location of the story is a vital part of the plot. For instance, if Hawaii 5-0 took place anywhere else, it wouldn't make much sense why the one detective had to be Hawaiian. Better yet, could the show still be called Walker, Texas Ranger if the story was based in say Toledo, Ohio? In other words, the film doesn't necessarily have to be filmed at the location but the location that the story takes place in, not the filming, needs to be a vital part of the plot line.

Alot of the movies are great suggestions but just because the movie was filmed in a location doesn't mean that that location is integral to the plot line.

    Another one:

The Village - I can't remember what town this was supposed to take place near but, in an effort not to spoil the ending for those who have not seen it, the plot makes no sense without finding out the name of the town at the end.

It's actually Aurora, IL. I don't think they actually filmed any of Aurora.
