Not that I have an ideal setup...

    Currently own:
    RT 800i
    RT 35i
    CS 245i

    Owned:
    RT 55i

    Will Own:
    LSi9 or LSi7
    LSiC

Hmmm. just realized that I have owned quite a few speakers just in the last 4 years. I feel much more stabilized now that I'm a polkie. I say goodbye to the Yamahas, ARs, Boses, Klipschs, Wharfedales, Inifinitys, and Sonys of the past. I do miss my old Yamahas however... and my old Klipsch SC1 was very nice...

Madmax, yes, in my naive, pre-audiophile days I did own a pair of Bose 201 speakers. Under no circumstances will I devulge the brands of my other two youthful indiscretions.:p

We all have those old 'skeletons' in our audio closet...what gets me, is a pretty smart dude, a real regular here, actually still uses his B$%^ speakers on a daily basis....

At least the 201's were a shelf design, and at the time you had them, I'd bet almost everyone still used paper drivers, and that cone tweeter was probably 'modern' technology....

But 'some' people here still cling, and even flaunt their little cubes.... boggles the mind.

    Cheers,
    Russ

How were they? Did you have the little 'spheres' also? I've heard mixed opinions on the 'round-sound' setup....I'd like to hear yours...

The only polks I have are

    PSW1200
    CS175i

    The rest in the house

    Sony STR-DE915 Dlby Didgital reciever
    4 JBL 15inch speakers
1 JBL N-center center channel speaker

Soon to be Outlaw audio Reciever, Paridigm or B&W speakers, and I am thinking about getting ride of the PSW1200 for a Paridigm Servo 15, or should I keep the Polk. What do you think?

    In the car

    2 JBL 15's Power seriese
    Pioneer CD player DEH-P9200R
US acoustics 480watt 4 channel amp

The car is soon to be a Mitsubeshi Eclipse or Eagle Talon. It will have 2 1,200 watt JBL amps and 2 Didgital Designs 9512, 4 Alumapro Alchemy, or 4 Polk Momo's, I can't decide wich. The US acoustics amp will be used to power the speakers. I have abalutly no idea what speakers to go with. What do you think?

Not bad for a 17 year old, huh. And I paid for it all myself.

russ, yea had the "spheres" the sound was not too bad, however I wanted the benefits of full range for dvd audio, music and movies. the little round balls just did not do it for me. sold them to my neighbor and found my new friends the polks:) where I get the full range with base.

The Bose 201's have the dubious distinction of being the only speakers I have thrown away when I bought new speakers. The 201's were tossed when I brought home a pair of mini towers made by another "well-regarded" manufacturer who, for the sake of modesty, will remain in the closet with the rest of the skeletons.;)

    Nascarman,

Thanks for the advice. School is pritty hard though. Especially when you have such an obsesion with audio as I do. All I really do is study audio books. School gose pritty good though, but its a difficult juggle between the two :). I am doin the best that I can though.
