The reason I brought up the poll idea was just as unc2701 described, once the sample population exceeds a certain number (26 or 30 I believe), the standard distribution curve kicks in and it's all good!

Turned 50 in May. So did my wife. Our son is 6, so we feel a lot younger. My work day is 10 to 12 hours and the younger ones complain they are tired after working 6 or 7 hours.Michael
In the beginning, all knowledge was new!

A very young 46. I too work 12 hour days and I have an 11 year old. Since she is a girl, I have to keep at the weights to properly discourage the teen boys that will soon show up with evil (in my opinion) intentions. So what if those speakers are as big as a Subaru and cost twice as much? You'll never have to trade these babies in and when you die, they can bury you in them.
And, if you can't afford them, F***ing FINANCE them! -
If I've counted and added everything correctly, then so far with 63 responses, we have 2228 yrs of experience here at CP. That comes to an average age, so far, of 35.36 yrs old. That's a little higher than I was expecting, as I was expecting somewhere in the mid twenties."SOME PEOPLE CALL ME MAURICE,
CAUSE I SPEAK OF THE POMPITIOUS OF LOVE" -
I'm not surprised.
1. I don't think a lot of people in their 20's have fully developed an appreciation of music outside of it being loud & having a lot of bass yet.
2. It takes a bit of money to put our systems together, and most people in their 20's just are not making that kind of money in order to do it. Plus they're too busy paying off other stuff.
At least that's my theory.:)Marantz AV-7705 PrePro, Classé 5 channel 200wpc Amp, Oppo 103 BluRay, Rotel RCD-1072 CDP, Sony XBR-49X800E TV, Polk S60 Main Speakers, Polk ES30 Center Channel, Polk S15 Surround Speakers SVS SB12-NSD x2 -
Going to have to disagree greatly with point number one.
(3. People in their 20s think they know everything. )
In all seriousness almost all of my friends have a deep love and appretiation for a lot of different kinds of music. I grew up on it and I still love and listen to what I grew up with. Music is definitely a huge part of my life and I've been immersed in it since before I can remember. -

at 40, I have about 6 years to plan for this. I think I'll just keep working my 12 hour days, drink beer, relax then pay for a body guard when the time comes.;)

I'm on the high end of this survey (or poll). I'm 52. I'll tell you how old: I saw the Doors twice, Black Sabbath when Ozzie looked young, Iron Butterfly. Rolling Stones when Jagger could still sing, Genesis with Peter Gabriel singing lead, Vanilla Fudge (not Ice), Chambers Brothers, Chicago, Aerosmith, all of these Bands before 1972!!!! And I wore bell bottoms!Carl

Yeah but did you see any GOOD bands in the 70's?
very cool. People don't go to concerts anymore like they used to. that's what i find out. very few of my friends try and go see music performed live. I still try and catch a few shows a year.
It must be because ticket prices are so outrageous now. Cold Play is playing near me in Aug this year.. but ticket prices are like $175 each. UGH! I mean.. they're no Beatles or anything. C'monPolkFest 2012, who's going>?
