Here is the response I got from him too. "HELLO ,THESE ARE THE ACTUAL SPEAKERS.I`M NOT SURE WHAT YOU MEAN BY RIGHT HANDED SPEAKERS. WE`RE SELLING THESE FOR SOMEONE.WE HAVE THE MANUALS FOR THEM.IF YOU NEED ANY MORE ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ASK. I`LL SEE WHAT I CAN FIND OUT.THANKS, NEASESHIP"

By the way those are both the right speakers for an SDA 2.3. The 2.3 TL may be labled the opposite. For some reason Polk must have reversed the drivers in the later models or they misslabled a whole bunch of them. That is why you probably see 2.3's set up differently in many photos from the 2.3TL's. I know my 2.3's are labled like that also.

    Right speakers? Well...
    1. 2.3's and 2.3 tl's both have only two SDA drivers per ch.
    2. SDA drivers go to the outside.
    3. Channels are determined looking at the set from in front.

So either these are both left channels or the naked photos have been reversed. I do not think the latter as you can make out Matthew's sig plate in the upper right corner of the removed grill.

Mislabeling is a third possibility... Product of Polk's stoner production period.

As far as I can tell Tour2ma you are correct on all three points. The problem is the manual says that the SDA drivers for the 2.3 model are on the outside. So according to the manual and where the SDA drivers are located the speakers are the right hand speakers. I started another thread in the vintage speakers forum for this. Any help there would be appreciated.

Those 2.3's are both right channel speakers. Avoid that auction unless you have two left channel 2.3 speakers.

I asked the seller(store rep) how that could happen, his reply was that they were selling them for an individual who had just returned from Japan, along with many other items for sale,,I'm dumb and slow,,but,,how does one end up with two rights, instead of the correct pair

Cosmetically nice, but seller states there is a small leak around one of the passives and possibly one scratchy driver. Now that's disclosure.
For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore...

    Good spot Matthew!

A pair of CRS+'s with original stands, zero bids with an opening price of $150.00. Could be a steal.
