    Well, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all :D

    Oh well ... grunting is certainly not very classy. I did notice that Nadal always grunts, but Federer does not. Is he a product of Nick Bollettieri's Florida tennis academy, I wonder. The 2005 BBC article is probably correct though:
    For tactical reasons or no, sports psychologists say that among world-class players, any advantage gained by distracting an opponent is probably minimal. Those most likely to be annoyed by it are the spectators and commentators.
