    Enjoy!

    pjdami,
yes Rotel it is. Rotel rsp1068 and the RMB1095.

    polkatese,
all the Lsi's are shipped. I shootout would have been very cool but Polkapop was 2 excited to own them so I couldn't hold on to them. O well I will review them after a full break in.

    Vr3MxStyler2k3,

the 82's have holes for you to hang the front grill on when you want to take them off.

    Thanks guys,

Nice choice Dan! Love those Danes. I've never heard the 82's.

May I ask why you chose the 82 over the 72SE?

In case you were curious, I thought those tweeters and woofers looked like Morels, and sure enough, they are:

    http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&DID=7&Partnumber=277-050

As far as which Morel woofer they use, it's hard to tell because Morel makes like 10 different lines. Those are, however, KILLER tweeters!

They're definitely not Morel tweeters. Dynaudio makes all of their own drivers.

cool speakers! I like the wood.

I read that Morel licenses some of its technology from Dynaudio, so it would make sense if they look similar.

Morel makes speakers for everybody it seems.

They make em for Phoenix Gold as well and somebody else too if I remember right. Definitely not a bad thing tho! ;)

OK. I give up. How do you resize these pics?

    tryrrthg,
I Listened to the 72se's. They are one incredible sounding speaker. It was very diffucult to decide which speaker to go with .I also listened to the regular 72's. In the end I perferred the way the 82's sound. They are in my opnion , the very best sounding speaker under 3 grand. I feel in love with them years ago and when I listended to them again, it all came back....

    Mazeroth,
Yes Dynaudio makes drivers for other companies. they also supply high end companies with drivers.

    Vr3MxStyler2k3,
the cabnets are real wood maple , thats why you see the knots. I like it 2.

Thanks guys , I'm so happy to own them,

    organ,
Do they really sound that much better than LSi?

Yes to be honest with yeah. Polk and Dynaudio are in 2 different leagues. Dynaudio makes the worlds best speakers in my opnion.

These are my dream speakers . I'll explain.

Years ago before the Lsi series came out, I owned Rt1000p's along with the entire 7.1 theater package. I liked them but also hated them. The powered tower thing drove me up the wall as I could never get the bass exactly where I wanted it. Not to mention my kids loved to turn the knob and drive me even more insane. I decided that it was time to move forward away from the powered tower .

I started my rounds around the Audio circle around here and listend to so many things. Most I couldn't afford. I really liked the B&W CDN9nt's but they where out of my price range. Even the 7nt's where just more then I could spend. I wanted a new home theater package and I couldn't drop all that cash on just mains.

I started working for a high end company (Soundex) and they carries B&W along with Dynaudio which I felt back then where just crazy high end and I would never even see the light of them.
I setup a demo for fun with B&W CDM7NT's vs the Audience 72's.I drove this demo with Rotel rsx1065 and a Pioneer Elite dv38a dvd player as a cd player all wired with Transparent. man was I stunned when the 72's made lunch out of the 7nt's. I couldn't believe how much better the Dynaudio's sounded over the B&W's.
The Audience 72's rocked my world and I was really digging them. I was disappionted in the B&W's which I loved for a very long time.
Then I demo'd the Audience 82's vs the 72's. Same gear same room , same music and the 82's where just had another level of detail that just sucked me in. They where now my favorite speaker and I wanted to someday be able to get them along with the rest of the Audience theater package.
Polk released the lsi series and I read the killer review in Absloute sound and had to go hear them. Being a polk guy by heart , I dove an hour and a half to hear them. I was stunned how good they where. After many hours of listening to them and even going back 3 times, I had to have them not to mention they where more affordable. As you know I choose the polks.

I was very happy with them and after many upgrades , I loved them. The 82's where always in the back of my mind.

I made the huge mistake in going to visit some of my X co workers over at World wide stereo and video and listened to Rotel and Dynaudio together. They now carry Dynaudio and I thought that was the coolest thing.... and then it happened..
the upgrade bug came right out and bit me. I was not ready for that. After My demo , I came home and listened to my system. As good as it sounded , there was a level of detail I just couldn't reach.I thought about it and thought about it... I gave in to the darkside and started my quest.

I will go to say that the lsi series are not outdone by anyone else that I have heard in there price class. I even perfer them over the B&W CDM series. The only other company(minus Dynaudio) that I feel are as good or better Then Lsi are Totem.
