I didn't get the before pics, but I just finished the garage and am headed to re-organize the cave now.

I couldn't get ONE car in my TWO car garage, now I can. Couldn't even WALK in the cave - we'll see what happens.

    Cheers,

    Brett

I had a room like that when I was in College. When some one would give me some **** about it's messy condition I would look at them and say "If you think this is bad you wouldn't believe what's in my mind".

    That shut them up.

I'm glad that you are feeling that progress is being made. This is a milestone in finishing the job.

I once had a room very similar. Then started adding crumpled papers strewn about to the tune of about an 18 inch layer from the floor. This lasted an entire summer.

It got to the point where I had to think about what was was underneath the crumpled paper before taking a step through that room. Finally the time came and I spent about 2 weeks sorting and cleaning, and it's never been that bad again.

Use the state of your room now as a benchmark in your future.

As a representative of the Arizona chapter of the "Speaker Protective Services" I'll need you sir to package and send those Polk Rti12's immediately to Sierra Vista for protective custody. Shipping of course, at your expense. Speakers subjected to this sort of environment can end up on ebay---not good.

OK......so here's a few changes that have been going on.....

I've decided to put something WAY too big, and definitely not furnituresque into my living room. As a result of such a large item (to be pictured and shown later), I've decided that in order to not look as if I'm losing ALL space, I'm going to gain where I can.

These are pics of what my dining table was being used for (I haven't EVER used it to eat at). What better to do than dismantle it and put the table into storage and get something more streamlined.

Here's a before (most items going storage for now)

I have a pic of the table cleared off, but I'm sure y'all don't necessarily want the piece by piece.......

So here's the replacement table and look. I do need an opinion on the picture on teh wall though.

    Do you prefer this one.......

Or do you prefer this one.....

The only complaint i have with the second one is the picture is smaller, but maybe that works....

(the cables need to be dealt with somehow, but right now they're not THE priority......

The problem with the cable is that it's too short by about 5 feet. I'm not re-buying, or re-running the cable. If anything, a rug will be going over it to bury it.

The only thought I have about the NY pic (which I do like too) is that it doesn't at all match the Japanese style that the table and stuff are going with.

Everytime I look at the NY pic I just think Night Court.

i can see your problem with all of the black and white prints. not Asian influenced.

ok, get an Asian type print = problem solved. add some color.. like red, but just a touch. but just as an accent to the strong black and white contrast.

Of the 3, the tree fits the best. I'm with Al though, a Asian something or other with color would go even better.

    Looking much better!

The table looks japanese, you should try a pic of some of the asian culture. That would work well.

The wire is 2 funny, you should try to get it under the rug,
