hmmm, i opened up the speaker and saw nothing that indicates troubles. I'm sory for the pix, it's from my phone...Better pix are forthcoming

I did not see the 3ohm resistor though. only 1 ohm. should there be a 3ohm resistor?

You are missing a resistor. (about $3.85 to fix) Take a look at this thread of another LSiC with a similar issue.... (he found the resistor in the cabinet and was able to reattach it at zero cost...)

Here is what mine looked like before the upgrade. (don't worry about the fact you have 2 inductors where I have one, I am guessing yours are running in series and will add to the same value)

Edit #1 - just so you know - the one that is missing is a 1.5 ohm 5 watt resistor (as expected, it is the resistor in the tweeter circuit). I would recommend replacing it with a 1.5ohm 12watt mills resistor from parts express or soniccraft. (cost will be $3.85 plus shipping (shipping from parts express is $0 if you spend over $50 - can always upgrade the other resistor and the caps in your LSiC with the order to make your $50 free shipping.....))

Edit #2 - here is the schematic for the LSiC. You are missing R1......
    Mains.............Polk LSi15 (Cherry)
    Center............Polk LSiC (Crossover upgraded)
Surrounds.......Polk LSi7 (Gloss Black - wood sides removed and crossovers upgraded)
    Subwoofers.....SVS 25-31 CS+ and PC+ (both 20hz tune)
    Pre\Pro...........NAD T163 (Modded with LM4562 opamps)
    Amplifier.........Cinepro 3k6 (6-channel, 500wpc@4ohms)

IMO, Mundorf resistors sound better than Mills, too bad the value you need is currently out of stock.

Interesting, I did not even know Mundorf made resistors. So many things to try out - so little time....

    Thanks for the heads up,

I believe that line is relatively new, and cheap too. They also have resistors that are much more expensive. Or you can go nuts and pay $15+ each for Duelund.

ok. fortunately for me the resistor is apparently still working. Just went to HomeDepot and bought a soldering gun and after guessing for like 5 min, I proceeded to solder for the first time in my life...Got lucky and the tweeter is now working properly. I can hear pretty loud signal from the tweeter and the audio is much clearer and has much more details now. But truth be told, I am not too impressed by the speaker yet. Let me get acquainted to it this weekend.

If Carlos said the speaker was working properly when the tweeter was obviously accidentally but manually glued to the inside wall of the cabinet, I really don't know if he ever heard the speaker...
