I now think Celine Dion's cover of AC/DC's "You Shook Me All Night Long" is more cringe-worthy. Will someone stop this woman from murdering every song there is?

BTW, I no longer need to learn any ancient Zen practices for the Celine Dion concert since my girlfriend dumped me.

Sorry about the girlfriend dumping you Danny, but if she was a Celine Dion fan...well, it might be for the best. I mean she would probably be dragging you to Ice Capades next.

I've heard a lot of ragging on new artists here, and I agree...I can't stand any of the "new metal" and of course pop sucks (as it has since about 1970), mainstream country is just god-awful, and the hip hop of today is just a bunch of no talent thugs with record contracts.

But as for classic rock...I mean to tell you if I hear another friggin Steve Miller Band (for example) song on classic rock radio I am gonna vomit. The problem with trying to listen to classic rock radio is that all of the stations, at least in my area, have about 200 songs on their playlists...and I am sick of 90% of them. I gotta get sirius or xm I guess. Or just keep spinning my CDs.

    End of rant.

oh I'm not saying he was anything great but he definitely was a HUGE influence on music today. As was the Beatles and I'd rather lick my own taint than listen to any song by them again.

Are you serious Danny? She REALLY did this song? I can't even imagine that. What's next, is Rob Zombie and Ozzy going to do a duet version of Celine's My Heart Will Go On theme from Titianic?

BTW, speaking of Elvis and Led Zeppelin, has anyone ever heard of Dread Zeppelin? They are a black jamaican reaggie band with an Elvis impersonator for a lead singer and they do Led Zep cover tunes with a pinch of Elvis thrown in like Heartbeaker/Heartbreak Hotel and Black Dog/Hound Dog, etc.

I hear ya Woody! Besides the aforementioned R&RAN, there are many others I'm sick and tired of, especially Skynard. LS has got to be the most over played of all in our area by far.

Oh yes, she did it alright. She did it in front of a sold-out arena during one of those VH1 "Divas" concerts. If you have a SACD player, you can hear it in all of its hi-rez glory too.

Now that I think about it, she seems to be doing a Mick Jagger impersonation while singing that song....kind of funny if you ask me. :D

I love guitarist but Joe Satriani's style gets on my nerves. I really don't know why either. Country music is the only music where I can close my eyes, listening to a new song, and not know who's singing it.

Pretty much anything from Sheryl Crowe.

She can't write and seems to have a remake of an earlier hit on each of her albums.

Remember her butchered remake of a Led Zeppelin's D'yer mak'er ? She also remade Gun's n Roses's Sweet Child O'Mine which was criminal. Plus her theme song to Jame Bond's Tomorrow Never Dies was one of the worst for a Bond film.

Her remake of "First cut is the Deepest" did well but most likely because her younger fan base don't know of the remake to begin with.
