ok. you're listening to the radio... then all of a sudden "that" group or artist comes on with a song so annoying it makes you cringe. what group can you not stand? don't like anything about them.. their sound, the way the look, everything about them?

for me it would have to be Air Supply. icky. i can't change the radio station quickly enough when they come on the radio.

that one song by Five For Fighting is getting so much airplay.. i'm about to shoot myself if I hear it ONE MORE TIME!!
PolkFest 2012, who's going>?
Vancouver, Canada Sept 30th, 2012 - Madonna concert

Any rap song where the rappers 'sing.' Good Lord, why must they try to sing?

Country music in general. I heard them people singing one of the greatest songs ever the other day - Don Henleys Desperado.
Can country please stick to thier own crap and stop remaking good songs - they have been doing it weekly now.

Other than that I could go on for quite awhile, here are a few:
Avril lavigne : needs to be shot
evanescence : the same two songs over and over
limp bisquick : I want to chock Fred out

I like alot of music though - I just picked up some Richard Cheese: Rage Against The Lounge. I very diverse.....
One of my faverate groups I do not get tired of is KORN and SOIL two groups that are on heavy rotation.......

I love Pink Floyd, but, every time I hear "Learn To Fly" not only do I cringe - I almost get physically ill, headache, stomach pains the whole 9 yards. Dunno why

So many groups in music make me cringe:
The latest "boy band" garnering attention
Brittany Spears-well let's just go w/ anything considered teenie bopperish
Anything country-as mentioned above, I hate it when country stars remake older songs--Faith Hill singing Joplin's "Piece of My Heart?" WTF is that about????

But, there's so much great music out there, it's all relative. My only issue is when I see young kids today listening to nothing but Hip-Hop and Teenie Bopper music, but have no appreciation for classic rock. Some of them have never even been exposed to it, which is sad.

Any of the myriad whiney voiced, quasi punk bands that proliferate the "alternative" market. Also the cheeseball, quasi grunge bands like "Nickelback," etc. But in reality almost all of today's popular music strikes me as complete crap. FM radio is not an option anymore.

Although I like many genre's of music, including 70's and 80's, there are definitely songs/artists that make me cringe everytime. Evanescence's "Bring Me to Life" definitely leads the pack, somehow still getting plenty of air time. This has to be one of the most over played songs of all time. Lately, Christina Aguilera has been really annoying the crap out of me with a number of her songs. Don't get me wrong, she looks good and has a great voice, but her songs are crap. My $.02.

    Some albums re-recorded digitally.

I have a 'Deluxe' re-release CD with three versions of InAGaddaDeVida (lp,45,live), it sounds like it was recorded on someones home computer with a SoundBlaster 16. Then I have Skeleton's From The Closet, where it sounds like they forgot to push the DNR button.

With few exceptions, any song in any genre by any artist made in the last 20 years. If it's got a video, it's crap.

Quit living in the past, it wasn't as good as you think. To say that no good music has been produced in the last 25 years is just plain ignorance.

Please see my open appeal to Celine Dion....

On the other hand, since my girlfriend wants to see Celine Dion in Vega$, I need to learn some ancient Zen practices to withstand the spasms that I will endure during the concert.
