Will someone please write out "Qobuz" phonetically?

Qobuz is pronounced co-buzz (or koh-buhz).
Here is how you can break it down phonetically:
• Qo- sounds like the "co" in copilot (or the "ko" in koala).
• -buz sounds like the word buzz (or the "-bus" in Republic, but with a "z" sound at the end).

I am giving Amazon Music Unlimited another shot on a 4 month free trial. Impressed by the improvements since I last tried. Most of what I've been listening to so far has been in above 16 bit quality. Sound quality and selection are quite good through Eversolo products. I haven't compared it to Qobuz recently but have been seeing different opinions online regarding sound quality with some saying they can no longer tell the difference between the services anymore.
I may keep it because I went looking for Donald Fagan solo material recently and realized I only have one of his albums. Streaming services have pretty much everything. I tried Amazon Music through Android Auto in my car this morning and it works without issues.
New CDs of back catalog music are getting hard to find and expensive. -
My Innuos Zen Mk.3 serves as both a streamer and a 'server', which has 1TB of onboard SSD storage. It has a built-in CD ripper (not a true CD player), which handles the rips automatically when a disc is inserted. It can save the files as either FLAC or WAV. The Zen can also import files from my PC, which comes into play when I rip an SACD from my Sony BDP-S3200, and store it on my PC.I thought Qobuz sounded great, but ultimately, I prefer to pick my source media by specific digital masterings, and then track down the CD, rip it to my local media server and then have it forever available.Spotify Premium still does it for me, and has a great interface. If I really want a better version of an album, I'll seek out a CD, or download a hi-res version. My Innuos Zen MkIII has a built-in ripper and SSD, so very easy to rip and store CDs.
Slightly off topic here but I just got a cd player that also rips CDs to a flash drive and thought that was awesome until I found out the player only rips the CDs in mp3 format
. Do y'alls players do the same or does it keep the AIFF format when ripped? @billbillw & @jdjohn
Like Bill, I have also ripped CDs from my PC's onboard disc player, using Audacity. If you find a outboard disc player that can connect to a computer, you might be able to rip FLAC files that way. I do have a couple of other standalone disc players for standard hi-fi usage, but again like Bill, I rarely hook those up. One of them, a Yamaha, will play SACDs."This may not matter to you, but it does to me for various reasons, many of them illogical or irrational, but the vinyl hobby is not really logical or rational..." - member on Vinyl Engine

I should have mentioned, I mostly use dBPoweramp software now for most rips and for making MP3 (for car thumb drive). It also has good media tagging features. If I want an archival rip with a cue file, I use EAC (Windows) or XLD (MacOS) to get a set of files that can make a perfect CD Burn of the original.

Some media player/streamers like the Eversolo DMP-A8 Master Edition are now designed with a built in CD player. I'd still want to rip CDs using a computer for archival purposes and speed but the Eversolo player will rip CD content to lossless WAV or FLAC files.
It's a nice feature to have but the original DMP-A8 and A6 could play or rip CDs by connecting an external CD-ROM drive via USB:

I use a Roon Nucleus One for a server and streamer for Qobuz. It has a 1TB SSD and I rip my own stuff using dB Poweramp from my PC. The Nucleus One sits in the rack near my Holo Audio dac and I use a very stout 19V 5A linear power supply to run the Nucleus One.
I run an ethenet cable into an UpTone Audio etherREGEN module, powered by an iFi I power X 9V 2.5A low noise power supply. Out of the etherREGEN via USB into the Nucleus One and then into the USB on the Holo Audio.
I use the desktop version of Roon to run Qobuz and Nucleus One for my desktop office rig.
All sounds superb!
