Not bad considering I pay for a $55/mo for a 400Mbps plan. The uploads...yeah, that is an Xfinity thing.

Funny, but that would end up costing you more per month than most economy Broadband subscriptions when you factor the cost of a traditional copper wire based land line and the ISP (unless you have the free Juno 10hr/month plan). I haven't had a true land line since 2012 and I think when I dropped it, it was at least $50/month with all the fees. Google Voice and an Obi box has kept me with free a home phone # that works with my old Vtech wireless handsets for more than 14 years now. I just have to remember to use it once an awhile otherwise Google tells me they will turn off my number.See profile for rigs. Nothing else here. -
I consistently get high DL speeds, but my UL speeds rarely go over 20. Been consistently that way for a very long time. Doesn't seem to slow anything down though. The fiber infrastructure has been laid to within 125 feet of my neighborhood, but is still years out apparently.

Assuming that is Cable internet? How old is your cable modem? Older ones weren't capable of combining channels for uploads. Newer DOCSIS 3.1 modems have a feature called mid-split and high-split that allow faster uploads if your cable network has been upgraded (which most have been implementing over the last few years).See profile for rigs. Yup. Cable. My modem is less than a month old. TOTL Nighthawk or something like that. We just have the standard plan, with maybe one tier up. I dunno. It's been years since I looked at it.
