80Hz Cross Good for CSi30?

Here's a monkey wrench....
Now I do have gobs of power supporting the speakers and I've gone back and forth with Large settings on ALL speakers however having only the mains set to large gives me a much cleaner sound.
Dialogue is crystal clear from the LSiM706.
I might add, it's not a bad idea to use the AVR's calibration, at least to see what kind of base setting your room prefers, then you can tweak it from there to your liking.
I have two sealed subs, two 15" drivers each, if I want to (and I have lol), rattle the plates in my kitchen cabinets and knocked trophies off the shelves in my office.
I've read valuable advice with every post in this thread, and I will echo, try all settings listed by the members here, and see what sounds best to you. By the way, I dig the RTi12's, I have four A9's in my set up
Hey brother! Hope that UB9000 is treating you well, per your posts at AVS! -

Makes sense, which is why I wanted to consider a ported model for the HT.
I hope the PSW350 does well in the two-channel rig. -

Right on!! Yes sir, ever since I replaced the drive in that thing, all has been well!
Best of luck on your request!
Thanks; mine's acting up again, refusing to load certain DVDs and loading nearly all discs very slowly. -
Gotta work on that quote thing bro'... 😉

The PSW subwoofers are good for what they are but just don't match up well with ones from other companies with similar sized drivers. Amp output, driver excursion, cabinet structure are where the Polk subwoofers have not been competitive for quite a few years but I continued using a PSW model for a long time in a two channel bookshelf speaker system because it still worked.

Thanks for your super helpful input with regard to the thread topic!
The problem, initially, was the way in which Jeff posted his message, as it kind of got jumbled up when I attempted to reply; I'll work on editing my response now. -
My message edited; hope that helps!

Thanks again, Em; indeed, I wanted to stay away from Polk for a subwoofer replacement for those reasons, in a nutshell. My plan is to move the 350 into the stereo rig upstairs, and I hope it's decent for music. -

I like this guy.....I don't believe you have been welcomed to Club Polk. With that said, please allow me to offer you a warm welcome.
TBT, I am strictly a 2 channel guy....so I won't be able to contribute much for your HT query here, other than my prior post. That is the best advice I could offer you and it is what I do. I trust my ear.
As for your subs? I can recommend some, but subs are personal. Some recommendations I have heard over the years, that get plenty of praise, you couldn't pay me to have in my system. Others made things worse, other than the boom at the bottom (which admittedly, some people LOVE). I do not. The more you expose your preferences here? The better the suggestions.
BTW, I didn't mean to be, "that guy"....but at the end of the day, it did make you correct your post. It just makes it easier for folks that are following, to read without deciphering. Looks like you were able to nail it.
Rock on.

Oh, I've been welcomed, alright...I got the ebb and flow of this place immediately upon arrival...

I don't recall a prior post (with regard to a post that may have come in before your suggestion of working on my quoting skills), but, irrespective of that, my response to you was a tongue-in-cheek kneejerk reaction to a statement that essentially asked me to "check myself" (in so many other words) instead of attempting to offer an actual helpful recommendation. As for your subs? As of right now, I've narrowed my selections down to SVS based on what friends have recommended, et al; in the home theater, where this new one will be installed, I prefer low, droning, wall-rattling LFE/bass, so that's why I was looking for a model that would be a significant step up from my current PSW350.BTW, I didn't mean to be, "that guy"....but at the end of the day, it did make you correct your post. I edited the post because, as I initially explained, Geoff's quote was what got jumbled up from the jump (when I attempted to quote him, the whole thing ended up a bundled mess); your indifference to stick to the thread topic or any offshoot of such wasn't the catalyst.
Thanks for the welcome, again!

Ahhh, okay -- I recall that post now. Thanks.
I just wanted a more technical type of feedback based on the raw specs of the speaker, whether 80 was okay to at least begin with; I'm just going to leave it there.
