Hi Selenium Falcon,Is there any response from Polk. The retailer is not getting any response from the UK service centre who sent it back beyond economical repair, why? How much does it cost to upgrade firmware, pennies?.

I haven't heard any responses. Let me try again. I'm afraid I'm not familiar enough with what prevents a soundbar from updating its firmware. My guess is that the problem is rooted in the processing circuitry and would require replacing the soundbar rather than repairing. -

Thank you for your continued support, question which Polk soundbar will work with the MagniFi 2 sub, as I don't want to replace everything because the sub is okay. -
If you send an email to: Kim.Jasper@masimo.com and give him your name, address, telephone number he will send you a replacement soundbar at no charge.
