    Dude, with the LSi line..

Don't even look at Denon. Below 6 ohms, they are USELESS almost. IMO

You will be better off with....

    Panasonic receiver
    a good source
    LSi7
    svs sub PCi 22-31

Oh yeah dude - you need to figure in about 100-150 dollars in wire and cables...

    for the price, IXOS

Home Depot speaker wire and Ratshack gold series cables wont cut it for the LSi line...lol

IXOS is a good start. I plan to upgrade all my wiring to IXOS, ICS and Speaker Wire.

I dont know of many other brands. Just don't look at Monster Cable.

    So lets see here

    Panasonic Receiver
    LSi 7?
    SVS PCi 22-31?
    Source??
    IXOS wiring?

You don't need the 20-- w/e SVS. WASTE OF MONEY!!!

The PCi 25-31, with the free 22hz tune will be louder and hit just as low with room gain.

YOU WILL NEED A BETTER SOURCE.

Denon DCM-280 is one to look at, can be had for 100 or so bucks + shipping

IXOS, accessories4less.com (I think thats spelled right)

My recommendation would be either a HTPC or this Denon DVD player:

A DVD player for 130 is about pointless.

You can get the Denon DCM-280 on EBay for 112+shipping

5 Disc Changer, and sounds excellent...

I just don't see a IPod have the sound quality the LSi will sound good on. I don't own one, and I may be wrong.

But from what I would think, you will DEFINETELY need a seperate CD Player. Unless the Ipod can produce CD quality sound to really nice speakers.... lol

Thats not it, the IPod, I doubt has the Dacs of the Denon -- just a thought there.

Well you gotta figure something out here...

Between the LSi9 and the SVS - thats over a GRAND

Then you got wiring....the receiver....and your going to need a cd player - face it

Not if he is going to get surround system, that would indicate he is going to use it for home theater at some point. If not, then I would ditch the surrounds. If you want to go with surrounds for music then go with 5 identical speakers.

And what's the point of a digital receiver if you're going to use analog source? :)

It looks like you will spend around 1,700 - if you go with the 9's

    Sami - Toshiba DVD Player..

The dude has to get a TV before he should go surround sound ;)

We got this kid off of the surround sound idea...about 60 posts ago! LOL

How bout them apples eh - use the LSI7 as surrounds
