Yeah... if I had to guess the crossovers are fried on the tweeter network as well which is common for the lsi series

Yeah I agree. I purchased a pair of Sonus Faber Concerto for a really good price and no issues with the condition. This mess ruined some of the thrill of getting the Concerto

So, did you take the speakers back and refund the guy's money?

You can't tell me you didn't notice this.

He hasn’t asked to return them but ya if he doesn’t want to keep them. The wires are more noticeable when you get down there with a camera. I’ve gained weight recently so I’m quickly just connecting banana plugs.

I would ask him if he wants to keep or return them because in my mind that's the right thing to do.

True he accused me twice of doing it even after I was upfront with him about putting in new tweeters. So I wasn’t too eager after that. I’ll check with him.

The right thing is the hard thing...

But if all of those issues were not disclosed at the time of the sell the the right thing is a partial or complete refund, imo

It’s none of my business to tell people what to do, but as long as everything was disclosed prior to resale, it’s fair game. If not, then… you know what’s right.

I always wished they made a Maple Finish Model, the Cherry and Ebony finishes they offered where very nice but I wanted Maple as at that moment in my life I was really into Maple.

But they did make a maple finish. A LOT more rare than the cherry and ebony, but they did offer it. Here is a photo of mine.

I believe that my LSI7's are also of this maple finish.

I have a set of the Lsi15's that basically inherited, along with the center channel, LSi-fx rears and a powered sub pushed by an Onkyo TX-NR809. In my opinion, the Lsi15's have a great amount of bass as well as mid and high end.

Why am I hearing the voice of the late Sir Alec Guinness in my head when I read that post?
