Qobuz question

I'm trying to get Qobuz up & running to see how it compares to Tidal. For the life of me I can't figure out how to add my BS Node as another device. It only lets me play through my phone. I'm going nuts here trying to figure this out. Help please 🥺

Try the other way around. Open the Bluesound app, then run Qobuz (just to see if that works).
But… you’re right, it should work either direction.

It works thru BluOS but not on the Qobuz app on my phone. Strange to say the least.
I even can't figure out how to have my artists come up alphabetical. I never had these issues with any other service. There was a little learning curve for me w/Qobuz being that was my first streaming service. I still think it’s good, and prefer it to Tidal (I used it at local hifi shops).
Try to have some fun with the set-up process, I thought it was pretty intuitive overall, but it has a few areas it could improve.
Unfortunately, I don’t know what to suggest to try, b/c I didn’t experience the problem you’re describing.

When you add a new favorite artist it simply adds it the top of your list. Apparently this has been an ongoing issue not to be able to set them alphabetically. Very disappointed to say the least."2 Channel & 11.2 HT "Two Channel:Magnepan LRSSchiit Audio Freya S - SS preConsonance Ref 50 - Tube preParasound HALO A21+ 2 channel ampBluesound NODE 2i streameriFi NEO iDSD DAC Oppo BDP-93KEF KC62 sub Home Theater:Full blown 11.2 set up.

You can filter the results by artist by simply searching by the first couple letters of the artist’s nameThe Gear... That part I get. You just can't arrange them alphabetically which would make it so much easier. As you add a new artist they simply go to the top of the list. Bummer. Tidal sorts them alphabetically as an option...Qobuz no such luck."2 Channel & 11.2 HT "Two Channel:Magnepan LRSSchiit Audio Freya S - SS preConsonance Ref 50 - Tube preParasound HALO A21+ 2 channel ampBluesound NODE 2i streameriFi NEO iDSD DAC Oppo BDP-93KEF KC62 sub Home Theater:Full blown 11.2 set up.

If a service is hard to use or clunky, I say ditch it. To many good services out there to worry about this.
On a side note, Most streamers with the exception of Sonos only have a very limited amount of internal apps. I think HEOS has more than everyone else with again the exception to Sonos.
If you have to Airplay a service, I believe your losing some sun quality, at least that has been my experience with Airplay. Airplay works really well and I see it as a back ground solution to steaming music but I much prefer but in apps.Dan

I mostly run Qobuz at home from my PC and have zero difficulties there. It does the alphabetical order that you described, as well as most recent, and a couple other options. The Gear... I run Qobuz, there are some shortcomings I over look because of sound quality. Or,I’m just a knucklehead and don’t know how to use the app properly. Probably the latter.See my profile for list of gear.

If you can't locate any settings in the Qobuz app to help address the issue, or Youtube videos, etc… I would try to uninstall and reinstall the app. You really should be able to connect to your Node via wi-fi using the Qobuz app. That would be preferable, imo.CD Players: Sony CDP-211; Sony DVP-S9000ES; Sony UDP-X800M2 (x2); Cambridge Audio CXC

Dan can you further explain what you mean by this?
For example, I would open the Qobuz app on my iPhone or iPad Air, choose what I want to listen to, then connect to to the Node via wi-fi using Airplay.
Is there a different (better) way to connect to the Node other than LAN that you’re describing above?

It could just be a handshake issue. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the BS Node app and/or the Qobuz app? Sorry, it's been a while since I had the BS Node. That was the easiest to operate out of all of the ones I have had but it's been so long, I forgot what app I went through.
I mention this, because whenever I have something like you described in your OP? This usually took care of the issue. FWIW.
