I use JMW wood risers but recently discovered these in Skip's smaller room at LSAF. You can order from him directly, if you wish. Here's a little bit more information about them...

As for that ever elusive black paint.....@masterpp is still wondering around, trying to find some. I wish the lad luck. Poor fella.

Here's what I found it the garage...Im trying to use this wood somehow because I am super frugal.

Have you tried double-blind testing yet?
I think you should nail the cables into the tops. Just one nail, though. You still want to be able to bend the cable.
It is imperative that the nail pierce the positive conductor. This is so that RFI is siphoned off into the wood, where it can be harmlessly absorbed.I disabled signatures. -

Someone a few years ago gave some of those away, I was a recipient of a few. They're long gone but they were exactly like those. -

I'll be marketing a nonresonant cis-1,4 polyisoprene stabilzer designed
to prevent the Mobius cable riser from any potential lateral movement.
By implementing either one or two of these per Mobius you will greatly
increase your speaker dynamics. Two per Mobius are highly recommended.
These may be available direct or from select dealers in the future.
Estimated MSRP $99.00 each. Remember two per Mobius riser is highly recommend!

Going to chock that up as a great deal- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

In fairness, I have an assortment of insulators ready for such a purpose.
I bought them all at one garage sale for $10.00 about ten years ago. The old guy selling them
rolled his eyes when I told him why I was buying them.
-
Yea he rolled his eyes as he just realized he had WAY under priced them and forgot a few zeros......
-
He was asking $0.50 each. I got 21 for $10.00, He threw the last one in free.
They're not exactly a matching set.
The large one in the front (7" diameter at it's widest), best for a sub-woofer or an amp? -
I made these for myself and had some extras, which I sold here. I thought about making more to sell, but the material and labor cost was just too prohibitive to be worthwhile.
FYI, anyone selling cable lifters saying they will improve the sound is full of crap.Political Correctness'.........defined
"A doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a t-u-r-d by the clean end."
President of Club Polk -
You are correct. They do not improve the sound but they do prevent EMI/RMI and other electrical gremlins from being introduced into the signal.
I can say with full confidence that some of the cleanest sounding systems I have heard in my travels all had risers and excellent cable management.
Folks may or may not notice the difference. I happen to hear it.....or rather not hear the unwanted noise. What you hear is very slight.

There's always the nuclear option.
Don't raise the cable, lower the floor.
Franchises are still available. Call soon! -
I run mine thru the crawl space, works great!- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.
