Tell me what y'all think I can do with these openings and such. I'm really tottering between coaxials and components. If I don't have to buy kick panels or anything, I might can afford components. Though, I haven't seen any store prices; just online prices. Maybe I can't afford anything!!:(
Thanks.George Grand wrote: »

you need to have the tweeter facing up...
i think most kick panels come with the grills built in...
it would be cool if you just got the coaxials now, then when you get the money for an amp and components, grab some and put the coaxials in the back
components are much better in that they have more tuning options via the crossover and the tweeter and the woofer are seperate
this also means the tweeter doesnt block any of the sound from the mid and also gives you better install options for imaging purposes

Hey guys; I hate to drag this thread on and on, but I just went to the audio store this evening. I've changed my thoughs a little bit. I was looking at the Panasonic MXE CQ-C5410U, but at the store, I fell in love with the Alpine CDA-9831 I'm not sure I can spend the $420 (with installation), but if I can manage to swing it, is that a good hu? Is there something comprable that doesn't cost quite as much? Man,...I really like that HU.....:D

Dude, youre over analyzing this! LOL
If youre looking at a $420 Alpine, Kenwood, Pioneer or Eclipse, you can rest assured it is a top notch head unit! If you love the way the Alpine looks, and I cant blame ya, then get it and enjoy!polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005
