Controlling my Polk soundbar with a Roku remote?

I have a Omni SB1 Polk Soundbar. I want to control it with my Roku remote. If I understand my Roku settings, it says I need a HDMI port on my soundbar? My soundbar does not. Is there an alternative?

    Unless the Roku remote can be configured to control IR , no there is no other way. HDMI brings in CEC control and that's how everything would work together, Your Soundbar does not have HDMI on it so you can't use it that way.
    However, if your Roku has IR control, you could get a universal remote and control everything with one remote if that's the end goal.

    I have my Roku remote set up to control the sound on the TV. The TV speakers are turned off and the sound is output to the sound bar. I do use an HDMI ARC but it used to work when I had it hooked up via an optical out cable. You just have to change the setting on the soundbar to whatever input you are using.
