  • Trey,
I know it really hurts to loose a "best friend" like Sidney, and to make the decision that no more suffering should occur for your "best friend". I think making the decision is the biggest cause of grief because of the resulting guilt in our minds, so please concentrate on the great memories.

I lost my "best friend", my black cat of 15 years Teddy Bigboy, who left me a year ago last Saturday. I really have not gotten over it yet in some ways.

Sidney will always live in your memory. Teddy Bigboy will always live in my memory.

I had the quote below in my signature for awhile to celebrate just for me my friendship with my cat. I hope you find it comforting in some way. Anatole France was born April 16, 1844, Paris, Kingdom of France, and I decided he had a cat or dog. I had never seen the quote prior prior to loosing my cat.

Thank you guys again for the kind thoughts and words. It all meant alot.

I was able to spend more time with my other companion the past few days more than I have the past few years as Sidney had been battling some issues. He is around 13 or 14 and still pretty spunky.

Thank you ☺️ he was a stray roaming around in an ice storm shortly after Sidney arrived. He was in really really rough shape, but has always had a great personality and attitude towards life.
