Magnifi mini - no sound after a volume change

Hi,
My Magnifi mini is connected to the TV with ARC connection, the TV is connected to Nvidia Shield Pro streamer. TV and Shield are set to use CEC.
Now, when I change a volume the sound disappears. It doesn't matter how I do it, via TV volume, or Polk remote, or Shield remote, the result remains the same.
Please assist in solving the issue

I recommend contacting Polk's CS department at: 1-800-377-7655 and follow the prompts to soundbar help.

Edit: more specifically, after looking into this a bit more, this issue seems to be triggered when you "enable voice control and more" in the device settings in Google Home and also when you enable Playback sounds (Cast start and volume changes) there. If I don't enable those, I don't have a problem with the volume.
