LSIM707 vs Legend L600

Alright polkies. I need some help.
Anyone that has heard both these or at least both the lines, please feel free to chime in. How do the L600's compare in a fairly high end 2 channel setup to 707's?
Are they fairly equal, are the 707's significantly better or vice versa? I have some decisions I need to make here in the next few weeks and trying to frame said decisions.
Supporting equipment in my sig. In a odd shaped attic, probably 300 square feet. 707's are definitely on the big size for the space. Would not be keeping the L600's long term (still have eyes on Kantas at some point) , just want to make sure I am not taking a serious step back

The same was said about the LSiM’s at the time as well.

I've owned the lsim 703 and 705 and the legend is a substantial move in the right direction.

I wasn’t disagreeing with you, just that was the buzz at the time. I own the full set of LSiM’s in my HT, I also have a set of 703’s stashed away. You are one of the few people around here that I would take recommendations from, and follow your findings..

I have owned the 705's (one of my fav Polk's...was a Polk dealer, and also did the a debut with Russman at LSAF), I just replaced (not finished tweaking) my HT LSi25's with L600's

Good to hear trey, thanks. As stated above, your opinions are one thing I can very much trust on this forum.
A little more context, the issue is even if I am able to scrounge a tweeter for my 707's, I will be pretty gun shy with them knowing I cannot get parts for them long term, I knew the tweeters on these were suspect when I bought them but was comfortable because I had heard polk was very good at replacing them. Now not so much, so I'd really like to fix them and offload them. Otherwise and notwithstanding what you will read below, I would hang onto the 707's until I can comfortably afford the Kantas.
Now for the full story. Let's just say I am getting a pair of the L600's at a very good price, and am wanting to gauge if it makes sense to hold onto them vice the 707's or if I will regret making the switch. Either way I think I will give the L600's a shot given the good things I am hearing here, and honestly I think they are a pretty good looking and more appropriately sized for my space. Paying full price for the L400 center will hurt though2 Channel in my home attic/bar/man cave

The L400 is a beautiful monster center. Makes the RtiA6 look small ...
LSiC
21-1/8"W x 7-1/16"H x 9-1/16"D
21.125x7.063x9.063
1352.253 cu in
L400
26"W x 9-1/2"H x 13-1/2"D
26x9.5x13.5
3334.5 cu in
2.47 times larger
The LSiC was the weak link in the LSi series. The RTiA6 center in the RTiA series was much better, than the LSi flagship series.
I actually installed LCi-RTS-C in-wall speaker in a DIY box because the sound was so much better.

I agree, it does look very nice. I have the LSIM 706C so size appears to be about the same. I would continue to use the 706C but the difference in driver and cabinet design will drive me nuts not to mention that speaker has issues as well. I've had a bad go of things with my stereo lately
I wonder what Legend resale will be, considering Polk selling basically the same speakers for half the price in the reserve line2 Channel in my home attic/bar/man cave

I had 705's with a 704C and now have a pair of L600's and a L400. I have never heard the 707's so the comparison is to the 705's.
Much better bass, better mid range and a much better tweeter. Female voices sound clearer and I've heard sounds I didn't hear with my 705's.
With the L400 voices are easier to understand, I'm an old guy and need all the help I can get the way some people talk on the TV and in movies.
I wondered if there would be much improvement when I bought the Legends and I'm glad to report there was at least for me.Yamaha RX-A2070, Musical Fidelity M6si integrated amp, Benchmark Dac1, Bluesound NODE 2i, Audiolab 6000CDT CD Transport, Parasound Zphono USB Phono Preamp, Fluance RT85, Ortofon 2M Bronze, Polk L600's, L400, L900's, RC80i's, SVS 3000 Micro, Audioquest Interconnects and Digital Cables, Nordost Silver Shadow Digital Cable, Cullen Gold and Crossover Series Power Cables, Douglas Connection Alpha 12AWG OCC Speaker Cables, Douglas Connection Alpha Analog Interconnect Cables, Douglas Connection Alpha 11 OCC Custom Power Cable, Signal Power Cable, Furman PL-8C 15 Power Conditioner, Sony 65" 900F, Sony UBP-X700, Fios, Apple TV 4K, Audioquest Chocolate HDMI Cables. -

Bro I would be all over those but the overall design of the speaker and wood color just do not work in the room. I know it seems superficial but aesthetics definitely do matter to us.
I’m sure they would spank anything I could get for even double the price you are selling them for but won’t be able to make it work. I definitely thought hard about it for a minute2 Channel in my home attic/bar/man cave

fully concur (I'd say a little better, I really did like those 703 though). The tweeter upgrade from the LSi to the LSIm was an mild evolution. The new one in the L and R series are.......just.........dayum.

Well I have decided to go all out and get a set of Focal Kanta 2’s on order.

Typically the customer always has to pay the return shipping fees for the 30-60 day trials that companies/retailers offer. So I'm not sure about zero cost. -
Except for packages that weigh more than 66 pounds (i.e. excess weight packages), we will provide a free return shipping label for all Polk products being returned. For the excess weight items, the customer must pay the return shipping. You must return the product to us in its original packaging and include all accessories. Once we receive the product in our warehouse, we will give you a refund for the returned product.
