If I run a common ground amp for the highs and a separate common ground amp for the lows do I need the Dreadnaught?

What are you trying to gain with this?

The answer is NO but I'd like to hear what you're trying to gain from this.

To be honest, absolutely nothing. Just trying to understand when the Dreadnaught is needed and when it is not. I could not find an answer to that specific scenario so I thought I would ask.

Dreadnaught allows you to use monoblocks or non-common ground amps. They also help improve the dimensional array circuit. There are lots of good common ground amp choices out there that would make those speakers potential come to life. What's your budget?

Even with a common ground amp I found a benefit in using a dreadnaught.

You use the dreadnaught along with a common ground amp? Can you give more details please.
