Kind of liked it. Guitar sound is reminiscent of Alice In Chains. -
My favorite is The Black Crowes covering Otis Redding's Hard To Handle.
I never knew that was a cover. I love the Crowes version.Things work out best for those who make the best of the way things work out.-John Wooden -

Funny this post about covers comes up. Just yesterday on FB I saw a video of a young group called Infinity Song cover Fleetwood Mac's 'Dreams." I guess ever since the guy that went viral on TikTok riding a skateboard, drinking cranberry juice to 'Dreams,' the cut has been getting popular with the younger crowd. Great job by this young and gifted family. I guess three are siblings and the other members are distant family members.

Texas Flood - SRV Larry Davis original - 1958

Asleep At The Wheel's cover of Hot Rod Lincoln by Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airmen. A very rare case where I like the cover even better than the original.
The good Cdr's version was itself a cover of the original, by Charley Ryan (1955)

Not about covers but, I just read that Charlie Baty formerly of Little Charlie and the Nightcats died back in March. Any guitar fans from the left coast who was into swing/jump blues knows who he is. Heart attack at 66. He was a total badazz of blues guitar. One of my idols. R.I.P.

Jimmy Hendrix?
Never heard of him -- is he a Jimi Hendrix tribute guy?
on-ish-topic:
I won't say "best cover" but this is pretty dandy.

April Wines version of King Crimsons 21st Century Schizoid Man
When I was a young boy, and I like to rock came out, I was hooked, had to run out and get the LP, and as hard as I like to rock was, and the album title was Harder Faster, I was expecting good things, only to get home, and the album was a snooze fest for this 13 year old, I was so disappointed, it was what I would call a horrible buy at the time, it mainly collected dust till I think I gave it away..

Great Groove, Great Hook!! This song is still underrated to this day IMO... LOVE IT... It needed a better album around it.. Nature Of The Beast was better well rounded as a whole LP IMO..

I don't much like this one but I was doing a Pretenders marathon, a short one so I figured I would put this up.

Their version of the Kinks' Stop your Sobbing was/is one for the ages.
Chrissie was married to/shacked up with Ray Davies for, what was it?, like 45 minutes back in the olden days.

What a tragic band, though, the Pretenders.

PS @afterburnt -- I hope on your mini-Pretenders-binge you listened to Precious.
Not a cover, but a great song. I like the live version on Concerts for the People of Kampuchea. Perhaps the best thing on that album

I have like 5 or 6 of their rekkids (are there any more?) so that's why it was a short marathon. My typical marathons are like 20 plus albums from an artist. Precious is on their first or second album, those are my favorites. -
