Sorry for my vagueness, I programmed the RDO and SL2000 billet plates at 0.365" radius from center of mount hole to tweeter edge where it meets cabinet.Don't take experimental gene therapies from known eugenicists.
-
Thanks! Ive been driving myself nuts with this. I had the radius and diameter mixed up (very new to this). I divided my 19mm measurement by 2 and came up with 9.5mm (.374) but it didn't seem quite right. I was holding a tweeter plate up to the monitor at one point.
-
I didn't post about it specifically in the Billet RD0 thread either, but the bezel edge also covers up any small imperfections from the factory cabinet router-ing (sic).
The 0.365r. is a snug fit....No air leaks there.Don't take experimental gene therapies from known eugenicists. -
I haven’t seen them in person yet... hopefully gluing this weekend! Still have to cut the internal braces, tops and bottoms.
-
I hit the like button already. Very nice.Don't take experimental gene therapies from known eugenicists.

Looks great so far! A biscuit joiner would probably be helpful for glue-up and assembly (or assembaly as ol' Norm A. used to say).George / NJ

Biscuit joints suck.Political Correctness'.........defined
"A doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a t-u-r-d by the clean end."
President of Club Polk -
Pretty committed to dados, miters, and titebond 3 at this point. Went with the miters on the corners for looks, so theres no exposed layers of plywood. The miters should be pretty tight, they were cut with a 45 router bit on the cnc.
Cant wait to put em together! -
Even better! Locking miter or plain? I didn't see that in the picture although I think I see some dados on the side panels now that I look again.
Be sure to account for glue soak when you do that, if plain miters. I think an initial coat brushed on and allowed to soak in after squeegee off excess will work well. Keep us posted!George / NJ

In classic Polk fashion, you could always add an extra half-gallon of poly glue and let it drip from every seam.Don't take experimental gene therapies from known eugenicists.
-
If you want to be perfectionist, and why not since you're building from scratch, you might reinforce everything with a fillet of thickened epoxy on the inside (like tongue depressor radius). I guess I'd want to calculate how that would affect the volumetric space percentage wise but I'd guess it is minimal.George / NJ

Got the bracing glued in nice and square! One more glue session and they’ll be complete! -
Nice. The MW backing rings will fit no problem.Don't take experimental gene therapies from known eugenicists.

Both cabinets are fully glued!
Stopping by the shop tomorrow for some sanding and finishing. -

Also.... thanks @westmassguy for doing a great job with these crossovers! Running them in the stock cabinets now and really enjoying it!
