Ever find yourself watching something because....it makes you uncomfortable and in a way, better about yourself? Here is a list of suggestions you may want to check out:
1. 90 Day Fiancé....before the 90 days. What a freakshow and train wreck some of these people are. Check it out with your better half to score some points!
2. Moonshiners. Can people really make a living doing this?!?
3. Hoarders....my favorite because my wife claims I have OCD due I am a neat freak and I believe some day we may end up on this show in our old age because she keeps everything!!

So....watcha got for uncomfortable TV viewing choices?

I watched Uncut Gems last night. More than uncomfortable I'd say it's a very stressful movie. Or...I'm getting old.

Came here to say this. Absolutely love the show, but it usually leaves me feeling not-so-great.

Any news channel. Need to move past all the negativity and get back on track making this the greatest nation in the world. Cancelled our TV service this week because I'm so sick of it.

I am going to change gears from TV to Film.
Prime has a William Dafoe movie called The Lighthouse. One of the grittiest, unsettling movies I have seen in a long time. Its shot in black and white but dont let that dissuade you. This may be Dafoe's masterpiece acting role....enjoy!

I was excited to see this when it came out in theaters, as I’m a huge Defoe fan, and the film got rave reviews. The film is shot in a narrow 4:3 ratio, and is in black and white. These two factors made me feel cramped and unsettled from the get go - a great way to start a horror/thriller. Unfortunately, that’s about as close as it came. I will say that the film is masterfully shot - the textures and contrast in the black and white presentation are rich and well controlled, and the cinematography is outstanding. Shot selection and framing are superb, and perspective is used fluently to communicate with the viewer.

The big miss is the story (or lack thereof). Unfortunately, I most certainly did NOT get it, and I’ll freely admit it. I was so confused, I went on line after, thinking I must have missed something big in the film. Nope. If you read the reviews and comments, it’s clear that no one really “gets it”. I did find a description that sums my own feelings up pretty well:

I'm not sure why Moonshiners is an uncomfortable or unsettling show.

Daddyjt, so you're saying that regarding the movie "The Lighthouse" that RonP would rate it aa a "Must See". :)

.....without his reviews to not go by I've been like a lamb wandering in a movie wasteland.

If you are going stealth political with your pick, you have to pair it with OAN News. Same sensational format to whip people into a frenzy with no thought...just on the other side of the spectrum.
