@honestaquarian ‘s comparisons in the Oppo thread got me thinking about this. I bought the SACD version of Rumors to compare it to the DVD-A version that is my benchmark. As stated in that thread, I prefer the DVD-A, but the SACD is still outstanding. I’ve only played it 3-4 times, and it is in immaculate shape. Instead of it just sitting on my shelf, it should go to someone that will actually use it.

Open to anyone that’s been here since yesterday and has the ability to play SACD. Pick a number between 1-100. Closest without going over wins it. Drawing some time this weekend.

    In with 30. Cool. DVD-A -vs- SACD IMO/IME is completely dependent on the matering/recording. When it comes to the different formats of this particular album. the DVD-A is widely known as the clear winner. It is the best version/sound I have of this album and so far, I believe I have 6 or 7 different formats/versions.

    That reminds me. I have to mail it to Verb....
