2 Channel Amp

Hi All,

I have been thinking of getting a new 2 channel amp for music. I currently have a Parasound 2125 and I like it but the upgrade bug keeps biting.
So far this is what I like:

https://www.cambridgeaudio.com/usa/en/products/851/851w

https://www.anthemav.com/products-current/series=mca-series-gen2/model=mca-225/page=overview

https://www.vincent-tac.de/en/product-types/poweramplifiers/sp-332.html

This ones are out of budget but they are tempting and a dream.

https://upscaleaudio.com/collections/power-amplifiers/products/primaluna-dialogue-six-monoblocks

I know this one is an integrated AMP but Maybe.

Of those choices, the Vincent looks interesting if you don't need gobbs of power. The Anthem though has some balls to it and may provide a bit more headroom if one needs it.

I have an Anthem 225 integrated, it's a permanent fixture until I move up to the new integrated. That MCA 225 will drive just about anything and sound good doing it.

    Good quality stuff to boot.

I heard the Musical Fidelity M6 with the Lintons a few weeks ago and it was sublime. At 3k a little over your budget but maybe on the used market or get the M5 for 2k.

I just purchased an April Music Stello DA100 from these folks last month. We negotiated what I felt was a fair price. They were quick to respond via email. Once the deal was made, the DAC was shipped quickly, and was received very well packed, and actually looked in better condition than the pictures indicated.

I would not hesitate to make another purchase from them again. No affiliation with TMR,just a satisfied customer. I hope this helps.

Got it home today. Is in good condition and so far is dead quite no hum. But still the plan is to do a recap.

And maybe upgrade the binding posts as they don't take banana plugs.

    This thing is heavy.

Can I use an Y rca splitter to feed a signal to the sub. No pass through on this one.

Or go balanced to RCA as my DAC have balanced and rca out active at the same time.

Balanced to RCA via the DAC should work without detriment to the signal. That depends on the topology of the DAC itself though.
