Hello everyone ,
I've rocked the Leather Apple Cases for years and have 2 of them for the Max. BUT I feel it's time for a change and want a really nice premium case.
Otterbox I use to use many years and many iPhones ago and always thought they where great protection cases but bulky. Now Otterbox makes slimmer cases that look really awesome. The Apple store has a ver cool ones I'm gonna check out today. The Lumen is on top of my list but the other ones also look pretty awesome. Maybe I get all 3 who knows and then switch out as I see fit.
Check them out

What case do you use?

Also what do you guys think about screen protectors? I'm usually not a fan but the new Belkin's are supposed to be really good. Any thoughts?

As for cases, I am typically a silicone "bumper" style case user. They don't add much heft, are cheap and provide solid edge protection.
But I do use a full on Otterbox Defender case for use while on my motorcycles. Besides having a great protection record, the belt holster can be easily modified into a bar mounted cradle.

As for screen protectors, look at the actual glass material ones.
The 11 Pro Max supposedly uses the same Gorilla glass that Apple has historically used, but I have noticed surface scratches I never had before on my previous iPhones just from normal day to day use.

I also use the leather cases from Apple. I find they are the best in terms of design, heft and protection, not to mention the solid buttons that work as well as having no case at all.

I’ve never found any other case that imitates the solid button feel of the current leather cases from Apple. The solid buttons were added starting with the iPhone 7. Before that, they were integrated into the leather, and a bit “mushy”.

I used a solid glass screen protector on my old iPod Touch 4th Gen from 2012. The original screen was easily scratched, but I found that plastic film screen protectors didn’t offer the same touch feel as the original glass.

On my iPhones, however, I have never used a screen protector (starting with the 5C in my case). I keep them for three years usually (up to five, sometimes), and have never found that they suffered anything more than tiny micro scratches that aren’t visible at all unless you actually look for them.

My phones is only a few months old and I also got a small scratch on the screen. I picked up the Belkin Edgeless Screen protector at the Apple Store. Cool thing is they clean your phone and install it for you with this crazy looking Belkin box.

I just wish Apple would complete the leather cases with a bottom. I don't care for the open bottom. Other then that I also have been using the Leather cases for years and love them. The feel is absolutely the best. The buttons are as if the case was not there as you said, I love that.

The problem with that is that it tends to interfere with “swipe up from bottom” actions.

I thought so to but I picked up a Tech 21 case that has the bottom finished off and I have absolutely no interference with it. https://www.apple.com/shop/product/HNVG2ZM/A/tech21-evo-rox-case-for-iphone-11-pro-max?fnode=99&fs=f=iphone11promax&fh=458b%2B4bb6
