How to turn off preview media in Netflix

1. Log into Netflix
2. Select "Manage profiles"
3. Select the profile you want
4. Uncheck the "show previews" box

    Autoplay disabled.

    Anyone know how to change default audio to 2 channel? Searched to no avail as I often watch movies on my music system but the PSA DAC and TV don't have options to downmix from surround. Can do it manually but must be done with the currently playing movie under closed captioning, etc.

    I don't...I never had any audio issues with my SGCD in a 2-channel system.

    that setting will need to happen in your streaming device or smart tv. Just change it to 2 channel PCM only.

    TCL Roku TV and it is set to PCM Stereo. I thought my settings were incorrect the first time I noticed I was missing downmixed channels and center channel was lost in the mix. Voices are anchored dead center for dialog when correct...verified output was correct. Perhaps, the TCL is crappy at downmixing. My 2 channel gear is listed in sig below.

    I don't, per se, however the difference is night and day when I change from the Netflix default, "English [Original] (5.1)]" to "English [Original]". Assume it's optimized for stereo output. If you wouldn't mind testing since we both have PSA products? I didn't think anything of it, either, but was playing around with Netflix and it was a dramatic difference on all movies. In fact, I can tell when I forget to switch it over within the first minute or two.

    interesting, my stand alone Roku and and Nvidia shieldTV are both in 2 channel setups and I have not had a problem with either...BUT if I watch a surround heavy movie, its almost always in the HT...

    My 2 channel is freaking unbelievable for movies...I don't miss HT surrounds. I've run HT/surround in the past but haven't in my current house because of space. Easy to switch between the two on Netflix. I'd be interested in your impressions on the 2 channel setups when/if you don't mind experimenting. Speculating I think it's more to do with the 2 channel mix Netflix, or the studio, provides vs downmixing.

    Thanks for the tip! When the crap did this happen?? I cancelled my Netflix in large part because of the previews. Had been a customer for over 10 years. Maybe they'll get me back when they've got something worth watching again, but in the new era of ala carte viewing I'll probably treat it like Disney Plus and CBS, Subscribe for a month, watch what I want, turn it off.
