When I had my Cronus powering the SDA's, it was a wonderful match up. I'm positive this setup sounds very good!

I’ve only recently moved it down here. It sounds REALLY good. I do think that I’ve lost a decent amount of bass since I had the Parasound powering them however. Not sure if that’s because of the tube amp? Or maybe the bass is just tighter? I’m thinking about picking up a sub.

I never felt like I was missing much in the Low-end with the Cronus powering some 1C's, 3.1TL's or the 2.3TL's in our previous home.

But now, I'm running a pair of Subs in the setup, but I no longer have the Cronus, and I'm in a different room.

My suggestion would be to incorporate a Sub :p

$10K for a small rack????? Hahaha lol, you could get a real nice Double D rack that's much more enjoyable for $5K to $6K. If you are willing to put up with the rest of the package! 😉😉😁👍

    Very nice rack, well done.

The wood at HD is not bad but not great either. Looks like you got a good sheet of pine. I wouldn't worry about or double think of using HD oak or birch. Most of the time the pine is better.
When I was a kid my parents told me to turn it down. Now I'm an adult and my kids tell me to turn it down.

A moderate weight. It’s not light, but my 9yr old and I moved it from room to room. Maybe 50lbs? Just a guess.

So what did you do for the feet? Rubber caps?

The top looks like the bottom, so basically it's just the end of the threaded rod with a big old nut flush at the end.

I had intended to do casters, but the ones I got didn't work and I used them for another project.

I'll probably leave it as-is for now. Maybe forever... :)

I just finished some speaker stands to match, but I’m not super excited with how they turned out. Either way here they are.

The top boards are great, solid oak. I didn’t have enough though, so the bottom boards are regular 2x12’s that warped like a smile and made it impossible to get the legs perfectly vertical. Also, the stain came out different because of the different kinds of wood.
