LSiM706c cabinet damaged

I received my new LSiM706c today and the cabinet seemed to be damaged. The shipping box did not seem to be damaged which is why I didn’t open it as soon as it was delivered. Not sure what to do but disappointed my brand new speaker isn’t perfect. Here is the best pic I could get of the damage.vwcbt6fk89p4.jpeg

    See the dark squiggly lines all around the damage? Someone used a marker trying to touch up those marks, did a bad job of it too. I also see scratches and what looks like pack marks at the bottom of your photo. You should return it.

    VR3, the center came from Polk, Adorma was out of black so I ordered directly from Polk. I was actually shocked that the center came in its own box, not double boxed like the 707’s from Adorma. I figured for a center that size it would have been double boxed.

    It’s hard to tell from the pic but it’s actually crushed in in those areas, not much but just enough to feel it when running your fingers over it.

    The one that I got from Polk was damaged too, a big gnarly scatch on the bottom but I didn't notice it until it was too late. This was a long time ago on FF sale.

    I wish it were on the bottom cause I probably would have warned them about the packaging not being so great and just lived with the marks. This however is right on the top.

    Their packaging does suck, my 707's looked like a busted can of biscuits when they arrived luckily the contents were unscathed.

    @KenCustomerService

    Think I PM'd Ken this morning. I remember when it use to be easy to get in touch with someone in CS. Guess I'll sit back and wait and see for someone to get in touch with me. Would like to get this resolved as quick as possible before leaving on a business trip.

    Just received a email from SoundUnited, looks like my replacement is being shipped. Sure hope this one returns in better shape than the last. Either way, glad to see they stand behind their product as well as the owners! Kudos SoundUnited!

    Surprised you received a response. Hopefully the CS is improving. Better support will go a long way to making the legends more successful.

    Well, replacement arrived today and all is good. Seriously though, Polk really need to think about double boxing their speakers when shipping them out. Looks like a bomb blew up on the inside of this box as well but luckily the speaker survived.
