Returned items with no prob. Adorama promptly refunded my card. So what do I do? Well, buy a new 82" LG TV! Thats what!

Wait, what? $1500 was too much for speakers, your wife was going to kill you so you go through all the hassle that you were so nice to share with all of us then turn around and spend it on a TV instead? Are you dead now?

Haha! Actually, she is on board with this. We like to watch movies and I didn't really NEED new speakers. This TV was around the same price ($1,430) -
So you returned $5500 of speakers you got for $1500, and spent the $1500 on a $300 TV? Sure that makes sense.
Doesn’t matter how silly I think that is if you’re happy that’s all that matters.Up

Nice set! Like you, my need/want for other stuff is greater than speakers. I really can use new couches over speakers or a TV but I want a 77" OLED or a 75" Sony. However, that affordable 82" looks interesting. My room is only 13 x 18 open to the kitchen area. I wonder if the 82 would be too much? I have a 70" in the room now.Haha! 70" vs. 82"
Hummn, something to think about.

I sit about 13' from the screen. Could have actually gone bigger I think, but this is fine. I think you would like the size upgrade. -

Went from a 60" to a 75" oh wow it's big and took a lot of getting use to.When I was a kid my parents told me to turn it down. Now I'm an adult and my kids tell me to turn it down.

I remember the jump from a 32" tube TV to a 50" plasma. The size and clarity of the 50" took some time to get used to. It looked amazing and HUGE sitting only about 10 ft away. Then the jump from the 50" to a 73" rear projection was big but it was fitting of the long narrow room. I had two rows of couches in that space so the jump was not as dramatic as the 50" was too small for the space. I was designing a riser for the back row but I moved before I got a chance.Went from a 60" to a 75" oh wow it's big and took a lot of getting use to.
Two houses later the 70" is perfect in the current space. The TV is on the long 18 ft wall and I have a sofa and loveseat side by side. The width of the room is actually 13.4 ft but the viewing distance is about 11 ft. The family says don't go bigger but the Sharp is getting old and I want a 4K set at some point. The 77" OLED is waay out of the budget so a 75" LED is more likely.
In the end, I'm ok I held back on the Polks.
