    I can see this one turning back out to sea and just dumping a ton of rain along the coast. Thankfully it's too early to become a Nor'easter because this one would dump 5 feet of wet snow...

    Thank you John. They’re safe in PA now. Their Bahamas house can be replaced. Just fear for the folks there now. They’re finally recovered from the last bad one 3-4 years ago, and now this. Seems like these bad ones are becoming more and more frequent.

    Hopefully it stays offshore of the states or calms down before landfall. Stay safe east coasters!

    Just had 60 XYLEM bucket trucks stage behind our place and FP@L will stage at least 150 trucks across from us...portable dorms being setup as well...….GREAT for biz as all on a nice daily meal allowance......though we will probably be shutting down sometime tomorrow morning....this looks to be the real deal,,,stay safe all....

    Diana brushed our shore as a Cat4 after taking a path similar to that forecast for Dorian. Bounced out to sea for maybe a day, then looped back and hit Wilmington/Wrightsville pretty hard as a 2 (I think).

    Yep, and if you've ever seen the shacks most live in, a stiff breeze would be a problem.

    Yep - the western eye wall is stalled basically right over the neighborhood where my parents have a home. Going to be much worse when the eastern eye wall hits since they’re on the south coast of the island...they are all block homes where their house is and they are about 10-15 feet above sea level, so fingers crossed. Reports from their friends there say the storm surge from the north is as high as 20’... they said the airport is under water. Prayers to the permanent residents.

    Abaco took a beating yesterday but it’s now moving five times slower over Grand Bahama.
