PA450um Won't Pair Bluetooth

I have a PA450um marine stereo For some reason it just says "pairing" for a while but nothing happens. I've tried to pair with several different phones but it just won't pair with any device.
I've tried setting resetting the PA450um defaults. I've turned on and off then on again the Bluetooth still nothing. The Bluetooth audio was working fine but just stopped. All the other functions work fine.
How does Bluetooth pairing break?
My IPhone never even sees the PA450um. I've even turned on then off and on again the Bluetooth on my phone.

I'm having the same problems, and had the radio replaced last year. Are there any fixes?

Marine radio appears to pair but no sound

Mine was working fine, then no one could connect. I've checked setting up BT. It says pairing, but no one can see the Polk BT PA450.

Experiencing the same as above posts. Started the day by turning on the PA450um and no connection to iphone was made. Followed with everything tried above including resetting PA450 to default settings and starting fresh. Nada. Zip.
Will try Polk early in the week to see if they can offer a fix. -
Hi All,
Is there any updated solution to this? I tried mailing the support guys at Asa Electronics, and their reply was such a generic lazy copy and paste response with instruction on reseting the unit to its defaults.
This obviously did't work so they simply said "Then your bluetooth has failed". So many people are talking about this problem, surly there's some sort of solution since this is not a cheap product. -
I recommend sending an email message to: Kim.Jasper@soundunited.com and explain the issue.

Great thank you! I'll send a mail and hopefully post back a solution. -
Unfortunately I have no good news because once again after explaining to Kim Jasper that ASA Electronics were not helpful at all, I receive this reply:
"The PA450um is manufactured by ASA Electronics.
Attached below is the contact link.
They will be able to help." -
Solved!!!! at least for my radio.. Like any electronic device sometimes it works to discharge all capacitors. This is done by removing power (turn boat battery off or pull fuse or pull power cord) and hold down the power button for over a full minute. After doing this I turned bluetooth off on my phone then turned the radio on and held down the dial to cause pairing and low and behold, the identifier showed up on my phone when I turned bluetooth back on. Ridiculous and pathetic that Polk or whoever can't come up with this tactic to at least try. Hope this helps someone.
