Given the track record Polk has had over the last decade... he may be onto something.... powered bookies with Alexa and DSP built in for the SDA. That’s my guess.

I can’t believe F1 is getting this excited over the new Hitmaster...

There's only 2 things that get me excited, a pretty woman and F1. 😆

I recently watched the David Letterman interview of Lewis Hamilton. I enjoyed it! I need to get more in tune with the F1 scene.

....Anyway, it will be interesting to see what Polk has up its sleeve given all of the competition in the LSiM price segment.

I hope to keep fanning the flames with Legend this year if allowed. I feel obligated to give it the best send-off possible. Keep in mind that Mark was the man that said it was possible at this time to reintroduce SDA. Best product guy ever, Mr. Suskind.

    Keep Listening.

Love that second to last sentence....

OK, OK - I am guessing miniature versions of the classic SDA loudspeakers... sort of like this, perhaps?

Keep in mind gents, this is a replacement line for the LSIM's....so a bookie is only the beginning.

That said, I expect the new line to be price competitive, Polk isn't going to go all out. Personally I would expect Bookies about the same size as the LSIM 703'S, with slightly better drivers and a different cabinet. The floorstanders that follow would peak my interests even more.

What I hope they don't do....is throw the same drivers in a re-worked cabinet, using roughly the same crossovers.

Price competitive is good, from my point of view. I am one cheap SOB Yankee. :)

The past decade or so has been kind to thrifty audiophiles in terms of good, cheap speakers, I'd opine. Heck, at their sale price, even the vaunted LS-50 (not the self-powered ones) fit that description (again, I'd opine).

Personally, I'd like to see a Polk speaker line that holds its value. Not something with an inflated MSRP that they constantly offer at half off. I think gimmicks such as that serve to cheapen a product. In the end, the market value of their speakers is much closer to the discounted sale prices, and the MSRP starting price is somewhat meaningless.

If they like what they see from other brands in similar categories (klipsch, jbl). It will be a re-release of a classic. Early monitor possibly?

Im with ya brother. 7 years ago today I jumped in and never expected much but with the help from a few members here I got off to a good start. With one member in particular I was able to keep my sanity through a tragedy in my life no parent should go through. Talk about love!-
Now with 2 pretty decent rigs, I stick around because I like so many people here and like to hear about who's doing what and all that happy stuff. This forum and most of its members flat out ROCK. Thanks for being here and Polk Audio...make a serious kick but tower so I can make them MINE!!😄🎩

I agree it's good to see what other people are doing and see all of the different audio gear and other hobbies people have. I also agree most of the people here are good people and very helpful to someone like me and others who have very limited knowledge about audio. I only wish I could contribute more to some of the discussions.
