El Cajon to Blacks beach is probably a 60 mile round trip. I'm guessing you had someone drop you off and you rode your bike to get a peek. :o

No, a 60 mile ride was a short one for me. My longest one day non-stop trip was from Matthews, NC to UNC at Greensboro, NC. 13 hours total travel/rest time. I used to ride all over the place for no reason whatsoever....just loved to ride. Went from Springfield VA to the George Washington National Park all the time as a kid just to go mountain climbing and visit a buddy of mine.

I have it documented somewhere in this house that I have cycled well over a 1/4 million miles in my lifetime. Long rides were common. At one point in my life, I commuted on average 60 miles a day just to get to and from work and college for years.

When I got to Blacks Beach, I just threw the bike over my shoulder/back and climbed down the cliff. There was a day when I was an in shape mo-fo!

No, no way. A bunch of old people in the raw no no no. I still have nightmares from 30 years ago.

Yep... That's exactly what I remember when my former roommate took my wife and I there as a joke 25 years ago - bunch of old men walking around bottomless (it was a cold day so they were wearing shirts...)

That was an amazing list, I'm impressed you got so much in!

It was a lot of things we did. Surprisingly, it was very relaxing, and we never felt like we were rushing or cramming too much in. When we got bored of something, we moved on. Some of the tourist-y things were quick stops as well as Universal. We had enough of that place after about 4 hours!

I'm going to back to San Diego in March from 20-28th! Going with the same buddy I went with back in June(19). Also going to visit a couple of my best friends that were recently stationed out there. :)

Hahaha....I asked my old man when I was around the age of 14 where I should go riding my bike. I was outside of San Diego at the time, in El Calhone CA. He told me to just keep heading up the coast until I found Blacks beach, that I will know it when I got there.

When I returned home with a devilish grin, he knew instantly that I had made it.

They were not old the day I went.....dang, there were some lookers! Guess I got lucky.

So I never heard of Blacks Beach, and did a search. Oh my!
