We remove that whenever we recap the XO it is no longer needed....

It has nothing to do with the RD0194

Thanks Pitt, What was it doing to the original signal is what I should have asked.

smoothing out the sound due to the Mylar type caps used. Bypass caps in most instances inject artifact's that at first sound great but then become fatiguing the ear.

The caps we use today in most cases are leaps and bounds better than 30 +yrs. ago. therefore negating the need for them.
