Not in, because someone else could put these to better use than I could right now, but pretty freaking cool!

IN, in, in. Very sorry I sold my M7's. I love my M5jr+ series 2, but the M7's were just a bit better. They don't fit my room as well, but the sound was awesome. Those look like a beautiful set. If I win them, I will bequeath my M5's to one of my daughters, or a friend.

The monitor 7 speakers were the first Polks I ever heard. They were powered by a 40 watt Onkyo receiver. I was blown away with the sound they could produce. They are the reason I own SDAs today.

That looks like my old HK AVR. I got my monies worth out of it before it died and thought it did very well with two channel music.

    Nice setup!

Thanks. Low budget but it sounds very good to my uneducated ears. Got the HK from a Polkie for a good price, paid $75 for the M5jr+series 2 with the stands. The CS245i was about $50 and the cheap Sony sub was free.

This is definitely "Good Karma" and a very nice gesture from Polk. I normally would be all-in for these nice speakers (you can never have too many Polks) even though I don't really have a need for them right now.

I would rather see someone who will really put them to good use win them though.

    I bet they sound pretty-good.

    Nice, I want in.

Will have to get a photo later.

Why, I have been a Polk fan since I was a kid. Have bought only Polk speakers since around 1990.. and I have bought a bunch. From 1.2tl's (modded) to the latest LSIM703, 706, 705, and 702's. I could list them all if it helps, rotate them through from time to time and enjoy all of them.

No intentions of going to another brand.

Not in for me, but in for my Dad... He's the one that started me down this awesome rabbit hole 30 years ago. So in that same theme, his setup: purchased new in '87 a pair of Monitor 5b mated to a JVC RX-950V digital receiver, SEA-33 10 band EQ, cassette player and direct drive turntable. I don't have access to pics of his stuff unfortunately.

In please. I have Polk Audio and this forum to thank for getting me into this hobby and for showing me how to get the most out of my gear.

About eight years ago as a new father of two and not a lot of extra money I was searching the local ads and spotted a Pair of Monitor 10b's for only $90. They were in great shape, and after reading some excellent reviews I went ahead and purchased them. Immediately after hooking them up to my then entry level receiver I knew they were special. I lurked around here for several months reading about everyone experiences long before I ever post. Because of those vintage Polk speakers I, like so many others, fell down the rabbit hole and purchased some decent vintage gear to better power the Monitors. Eventually I refreshed the crossovers with some guidance found here and re laminated them with some black ash vinyl.
    3xbo1z49gn3i.jpg

From there I became interested in Home Theater and purchased my first real 7 channel surround speaker system which consisted of Monitor 70s, 50s, 40s, and the CS2.
    qm0l0lyzdyw7.jpg

Only to upgrade a few years later to the RTI series based home theater which followed us to our new home.ja69if8s30ud.jpg

In addition to our Polk home theater our family enjoys frequently I took advantage of one of the 50% off sales last year and scored a new pair of Mahogany LSIM 705's for a two channel system on our main level.
    ukh4v284seqo.jpg

So am I deserving of the Monitor 7's, well no more than the next guy, as there are many here with similar experiences and some whose roots go much deeper. But, I would really enjoy getting my ears on some vintage monitors again, as they were the series that got me started with all of this madness.
