I bet if you deleted your cache, your background would change. DON'T DO IT!

You might well be right about clearing the cache.

hmm, come to think of it, maybe (edit) WannaCry's holding the forum's background wallpaper hostage...

You know, if we could see screen captures of everyone's screen when you post a comment, I'd be willing to bet that 97.3% of the forum members have a tab open to Websters.

Since this seems to be the screen capture thread, can someone tell me how to prevent the yellow tags from popping up? I don't even like to look in new threads because I'll have to see yellow tags for all of eternity telling me how many new posts there are.g19cm0z92lk3.jpg

Well, the only suggestion I can offer is to click on the little gear thingie under your username at the top right of any forum page and select "Mark All Viewed".

    Gimme a minute & I'll post a screenshot ;)

Do bear in mind, though, that as posts are responded to, the yellow tags'll come back to indicate recently-updated topics. It's vaguely handy if you, as I do, select "Recent Discussions" to see what's been goin' on if you've been away.

I'm swell. I pop in here ever so often, but I'm usually not logged in to block all the yellow tags and nbrowser's half a page signature.

you can turn off the images in signatures (if that's an issue with the aforementioned 'half page signature'), FWIW.

    (FWIW)

If, from the gear thing, you select "Edit Profile", you can set/change some things about the display of signatures & quotes:

Bright is an understatement. I use Polk's home page now to light up the yard at night when I let the dog out.

C'mon man, does anyone at HQ fly these things past anyone before actually doing them ? I'm all for showcasing Polk products, but dang....anymore brighter and you people with solar panels can recharge at night.

as a corollary to this thread's topic, I'll take the opportunity to restate a dictum that I, with all due modesty, like to call Hardy's Law of Technology.
