Thick solid leads. Last forever. The sound I got was better than original and the price was nice. Besides the fact that you know you put in a very nice quality product yourself !

Oh and I forget... Recommended by @westmassguy . Someone who has helped me multiple times and that I trust.

@VT88, @westmassguy:
What do you “like” about the CC PX* caps. Please be specific. I realize I ask a tough question. Use comparisons if that helps.
* no secret we have better choices at much higher $s
I used 68uf as DC blocking caps in my LCR* ** and my only comparison are the Polk originals. My objective was neutrality. I believed 68uf has zero affect above 1-1.5Khz.
*my sig may answer some questions
** I plan to use same in my surrounds when I get to it
Thanks Tony
Most will buy Dayton, Solen, or Bennic as entry level. I've used all three. Make no mistake, they're all better than the old Mylar and NP Electrolytics, but these three tend to be grainy/harsh sounding compared to the Sonicaps or Clarity CSAs, in my opinion. The PXs offer a nice smooth sound, not too harsh, and very easy to listen to. A definite step up from the others.
I'm by no means anything close to an expert. There are dozens of quality manufacturers out there. I'm just very familiar with the ones I listed.Home Theater/2 Channel:

Great thread here on simple a swap from an SL-2000 tweeter to a RDO-194 tweeter. Update for anyone looking to do the same. Just got off the phone with Polk. They no longer manufacture the RDO-194...or at least the guy I spoke to said that. No stock. Referred me to Midwest Speakers. 651-645-7385. They have them. Ordered a pair.

Welcome @Fred4th ! Sad it is. Polk has decided to no longer support 40 year old speakers.... I am being a bit sarcastic. I thank them for supporting them as long as they did. Most company's would have closed altogether by now. Not Polk !

@VSAT88 Sonicap or ClarityCap - which has the thick leads though not critical as they won’t pass much below 2Khz.westmassguy wrote: »Most will buy Dayton, Solen, or Bennic as entry level.

So if I read this correctly, in your humble experience, the CC PX* caps fit in the “hierarchy, above the first three, but below the CC CSA* - about what I figured* when I found the PXs at discounted at about half or less of the CSAs years ago.
Which do you suggest - CC CSA or Sonicaps? Or are they a toss up? One day I’ll upgrade to either/or. Until then I’ll “save my pennies & dimes” and shop in the meanwhile for two.
I won’t hesitate to say yanking the entire XO and either bi-amping or tri-amping my L**C*R** made a HUGE difference. A VERY EASY compromise would be caps & resistors for the mid & tweet filtering and an electronic 2nd order low pass to the woofers. Of course that would call for an add’l amp or two but that is for another day.
