Would these work on my 1.2tl's with the neutrik holes?

Absolutely, I'll supply the stainless neutrik mount screws

Awesome; I'm in for a pair then

There will need to be four holes for binding posts on the 1.2TL’s..

I wouldn't trust myself anywhere near them with a battery powered drill. Hopefully the extra holes can be done properly?

No problem as you can still drill them with extra holes. I designed them with extra area just for that.

This is my last set for a couple weeks and my Hurco CNC mill is set up for another operation at the moment.

For future reference, what would be the ideal (most used) terminal positioning for the two extra terminals? Right now they are set at 5 and 7 o'clock. I can either make the extra two holes at 3 and 9 o'clock..... or 11 and 1 o'clock.

My 2 cents...11 and 1. My other 2 cents....keep the mounting holes in the original configuration.

They look so nice it's a shame to put them in the back. Maybe move them to the front! Lol

This is what I plan on doing. Jesse do you remember if the binding posts you installed will fit these plates or do I need longer ones? Hopefully they'll fit.

You'd need longer posts with xschops' plates.

Dammit; Well that project just got put on hold indefinitely.

Will the Cardas short posts install properly thru 1/4" thick plate? And what is the washer diameter that will set on the backside?

On my next batch, I can leave the baffle hole centering step and router out 1/4" more depth.

Thanks F1, now I remember that drawing. I'm not so sure that 1/4" depth would even allow for these short Cardas posts to fit. The drawing doesn't show the plastic spud mount depth that goes into the plate.

That said, I still have this set available for LONG Cardas posts.

I measured mine, which I haven't installed in my 7B's yet. The plastic boss is about 0.058", and the extension of the threads is about 0.400" past the plastic. The plastic washer + Nut measured 0.302".

So what is the THICKEST plate the short ones can mount through?

With the existing supplied nylon washer, only 0.156". But that washer is pretty darn thick at 0.158". So if you used a 1/16" nylon washer, you could have a 1/4" thick plate.

It would need to be a special washer that has a 0.50" dia. boss on it to maintain electrical insulation when mounted on an aluminum plate.

Sadly I had to pass on these plates. Between me wielding a drill for the extra holes and undoing Jesse's work on my Cardas posts I decided it would be in my best interest to leave things alone. Good luck to you xschop on your next batch.

No problem motorstereo. I can't find the old posts either where we discovered only the long Cardas posts would work.

I am willing to trade this last 1/2" thick set for a pair of MW6503's or pair of MW6510's.
    Just PM. Thanks, Rob

New design batch is done. I have nylon washers to go with them so Cardas short posts can be used...

    Nice job.
Did you use any type of CAM software to program these?

These had to be done on the CNC lathe and CNC mill. Both are conversational programming.
    Microsoft Paint was used lol.
