I am seeing all kind of stuff, and audiophile meaning what?

Classic preamp and amp under $400 could be tough. Finding a pretty solid integrated and decent bookies could be done.

Bookshelf bargains: no foam surrounds ( smaller then ADVENTS, KLH, Ar etc. )

- DCM CX-17 or Timepiece - efficiency 90db or better. Concentric drivers/time transmission design. Best bargain - $100 - $150.00

- Signet SL260 - like power - Signet maker of phono cartridges. Rare to find for sale. Either a bargain or higher priced gem.

- Polk w/peerless - M5/M5jr or M7 - search can get them cheap. Plus parts available. Marvin.com makes Peerless tweeter replacements.

Energy Reference Connoisseur 10 bookshelf speakers top my list at the $200 price point. Move the price point up a little and the Energy RC-LCR is a no brainer.

Hey check that out... cheaper too depending on shipping. Made in Denmark. Might have to check those out, just need to find out if mine are 4 or 8 ohm.
